Top power button is unusable. My son bought this for his ipod touch, ripped the box in excitement so it cannot be returned. BIG WASTE OF MONEY. I am very disappointed with this product. I tried adding paper to the back to make the buttons work better to no success. The onlybutton that will work is the button on the front that isnt covered.

More solid than the otter box cases I considered. Check their site for product test videos.

Best case ever the water resistance comes in handy once i dropped mine in the toilet with this case still worked and my screen had a hole in it no water messed it up. i would get this instead of an otterbox does exactly the same as one except this is water resistant otterbox doesnt cover the front camera leaving the screen still open for water to get in. the flaps are hard at first but the first day you get it open and close the flaps multiple times it will be come easier and the camera flap does have a knob which you can put in the hole below it so you dont have to hold it like other reviews said. Best case ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some trade-offs and an unexpected perk

Overall this is an excellent case for the cost. It is very rugged and has alleviated my concerns about the well being of my iPod. I haven't had any difficulty with the touch screen, but there are some trade-offs that potential owners should be aware of:
1: Buttons on the side and top of the iPod will be more difficult to press than without the case. Not to the point of being unusable, but they definitely require a deliberate effort. The front button is still easy to engage.
2: The docking port, headphone port and rear-facing camera will be covered by silicone "flaps" to protect against water. The flaps over the docking and headphone ports can be somewhat difficult to open at first, but seem to loosen with time. The flap over the rear camera will constantly try to re-close itself and must be held out of the way when using the camera.
3: Sound from the built-in speaker will be muffled but clear (half-volume). Likewise, those listening to you via the microphone (facetime, Skype etc...) will say you sound muffled. Both symptoms can both be alleviated by opening the docking station flap and exposing the mic/speaker at the bottom of the iPod.
The nicety, that I didn't notice until I'd had the case for a few days, was the design of the belt clip. There are three "modes" to the latching mechanism for the belt clip: 1) spring-loaded open and close in which the wearer can simply open the clip with finger pressure 2) locked closed in which the bottom halves of the clip lock together and must be unlocked to open and 3) locked open which latches the clip into the full open position and allows it to be used as a make-shift stand. While locked open the clip will hold the iPod in either vertical or horizontal orientations.
This seems to be a well designed and well executed protective cover. The loss of one star in the rating is due to the trade-offs mentioned above, but value is definitely high for this unit. I would not hesitate to buy another.

Okay so yesterday i bought a new ipod touch 4g and i bought this.. i was so excited and it look so cool..when i got home and try to put everything on.. that where the problem comes.. You have to really press hard to do anything on your ipod touch with this case, i tryed putting paper in the back which work a little better but not much. I am going to return this tomorrow and get a new one and hopefully it will be a lot better than this one.
