Im well versed in purchasing TV's. Over the years, Samnsung was my go to brand, then i purchased a Sharp and loved it. I never owned an Element TV and was apprehensive at first. Why would a 46" be $398...but boy was i shocked! This TV is crisp, clear, and looks great in the bedroom!! My only down fall is that i can not program my cable remote to switch between component channels and must use the remote supplied...but hey no big deal really. Lets see how long it lasts...the rest of my TV's have 2-3+ years with no issues!

Great until picture & sound started acting up

I bought this TV on Black Friday for my cousin's birthday. Awesome price for the size! All was great with the TV until two major things started acting up about a month after I boght it. First, the picture started being affected in the bottom right hand corner. It looked as if the pixels were either dead or simply not working. Second, everytime you changed the channel, the volume would shut off! Then you had to turn the TV off and on AGAIN to get the volume back on!
So, although it was a great TV (at first), we ended up returning it.

This was the worst purchase I've ever made at WalMart. I'm sure it's because of this brand. I was disappointed before I even had it set up. The base is very cheap and designed bad. There are 6 small screws that hold it. If you walk through the room the tv would wobble. Once the tv was set up I turned it on and the screen was cracked. Something with the resolution/pixels. So I had to disassemble it and take it back.

when the shows' sound goes down, it is hard to hear the words >> like when people are whispering << i have purchased a surround sound system and believe that this will correct the soft sound. it is an excellent purchase. when i set the sound to the top [100] the whispering is too soft to hear.
i wanted to explain this completely; however, i am very happy with the tv. the picture is clear and sharp. it isn't as deep of a pic [deep is the only word i can come up with], there are times when black has layers of color to it.... again, hard to explain, but very good.
i am comparing this screen with a mac computer, so it really might not be a fair comparison. i have never seen a screen as black as a mac.

I picked this up on sale for less than four hundred dollars as a replacement for my old tube TV in the basement. I had the HD Dish receiver hooked up yesterday and the picture is pretty good. The set has decent sound but nothing spectacular. The picture is good but not like an LG or Samsung but then this isn't an LG or Samsung! Based on the price of the TV, the good picture and decent sound, this is a great value. I would definitely recommend it for the the price.

We were amazed at the price of this TV, and several of the other reviewers commented about how great it was, so we decided to order it from Walmart.com and have it shipped via site-to-store. The TV arrived and we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and use. However, the screen had a burned out pixel right in the center, so every time the screen changed to a dark color, you could see a bright white light directly in the middle of it. Very annoying. Had to return it and are still waiting for the second one to come in. Other than that, the TV seems to work well! Hoping to have a great review of it.

I ordered this TV because I needed and inexpensive set for a spare room. the picture on this set is unbelievably good! I would recommend this TV to anyone. I had it delivered to the store near my home for pick up and was told it would be 5 to 7 days, it was there the next day.

I know it is not a highclass tv and i only bought this model because it is made in amerika , to support the country i just moved in to , but unfortunatly there is some strange red and blue and yellow colorsplash in the right high site ,

I ordered from Walmart.com to store pick-up. I got the TV home and the screen was cracked. I took it back to the store and ordered another the same day. It came a week later and the screen on the second TV was cracked also. I am very dissapointed and don't want to try a third time. I will just spend a few hundred more to get the quality that my family and I deserve. Thanks, but, no thanks Walmart.com. I will not be purchasing any more electronics from you. So now I have to repackage the set and haul it back to the store. What a winner!

Got TV all set up...kept thinking there was a film on screen, tried to peel it off because we could see lines and blotches of color on the picture when we got the picture going. I called Tech Support at Element and asked about the film and what we were seeing with all the different colors and blotches...all the guy said was " when did you buy this?" I said yesterday, he said RETURN it NOW to the store you won't have a problem you have a 30 day guarantee. What a waste of a day spent traveling 110 miles first to pick it up and then to return it!

I am comparing this Element LCD HDTV to my LG Plasma HDTV. Picture quality is 85% compared to plasma. Sound quality is 75% compared to plasma. Features are about equal, with codes for Comcast universal remote, makes it easy and convenient. I would suggest purchasing the 3 year warranty, it is a great value just in case something does go wrong.
