The NavGear Universal Dashboard Mount keeps your devices securely where they belong. It lets you mount any GPS system, cell phone, satellite radio, PDA or other component to your dashboard. This NavGear GPS dash mount features a suction cup mount that joins with the law of gravity for a tighter hold. The smooth top surface safeguards your device from scratches. The weighted anti-skid bottom with rubber grip adds stability. This universal dashboard mount is also extremely flexible, and fits almost any dashboard.
I use this dash mount with my Magellan in my Eos. It fits well on the center of the dash and stays put even in tight turns. My GPS is visible, but not a distraction. That there is no GPS cord router strap is not a problem. The GPS cord could go under a "foot" without reducing the mount's effectiveness. I'm quite pleased with my mount.

I bought this because I did not want a permanent mark on the windshield and it is excellent for that reason. It is also easy to lift the item complete with satnav attached and place it on the floor or seat when only stopping for a short time. The satnav sticks easily to the metal center disk and the dash mount hardly ever slides, only on VERY rough roads.

I bought the NavGear Universal Dash Mount. I have a Garmin GPS and I found it to be hard to work with. I'm not denying, I may have just gotten a bad one, but I used it about 1 week and took it back. My Garmin 50 would NOT stay mounted and kept falling into the floor or laying back playing dead. Mine had a dip in the middle and so the suction cup on the Garmin kept turning lose from the mount.Would never buy another one. I would rather pay for the original Garmin dashboard mount.

My Tom-Tom GPS has been nothing but a pain since I received it as a gift a few years ago. Maximum time stuck to my window is about 28 seconds. That is, until I start moving then it's less. I didn't see this mount advertised anywhere. However, I was watching 20/20 or Dateline or some show a few weeks ago about a lady and her daughters getting lost in the dessert. I noticed she had this very unique mount for her GPS on her dash, not that it did her much good. However, I paused, re-ran the TV until I could get a good look at exactly what she had. I was soon on a mission. So, I typed in GPS mount on Bing and viola, there it was, the exact same one the lost lady had. I purchased it on line and I am now able to navigate anywhere at anytime, except maybe the desert, without fear of having to look at my GPS laying on the floorboard.

I have a Tom Tom and was concerned about it fitting inside the mount. I was able to mount my GPS with no problem. I set it on the console of my suv near the gear shift. It does not move and serves its purpose well. It's heavy and does not move, even in sharp turns!

product arrived in poor USED condition, sun faded and cut with a razor rendering it unuseable. I returned it to my local store and was reimbursed. If you are selling merchandise as NEW, please inspect and make sure they are.!!!!!!!!

Seems to be a quality product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Thus far it has not slid or moved in any fashion, with or without my GPS in position and I run some very rough roads with some tight turns!

I have never had a suction cup mount that would actually stick to the windshield for more than a day. This solved all my problems, it sits on the dash and the holder suction cups to it. No matter how crazy I drive it stays in place!

The GPS falls off on the first mounting attempt. After a few drops of water to clean the plate and the GPS sucktion cup, the mounting seemd lasting forever.

My wife has very short arms and got tired of not being able to reach the GPS while it was mounted on the windshield. So, we bought this item, and it has allowed her to now use the GPS easily. It also has made it really easy to switch the GPS from her car to mine, with no finger prints on the windshield anymore, or those irritating little circles.

Due to the angle of my (or almost any) windshield, attaching a suction device is a problem. With mine it is suggested that you place both hands on the suction area, press and turn for a sure fit - not an easy task from behind a steering wheel. ,Then when the GPS section is attached, it is not always in the ideal spot. With this product, you can apply the suction part while the dash mount is in a flat position, then place it on the dashboard along with the GPS unit then tilt, move and position it to the best advantage. It is also easier to remove the entire apparatus and store it somewhere in the vehicle or detach the GPS unit and put it in the glove box or center console. It also leaves no marks on the inside of the windshield.
