I just picked this up at the Walmart.com counter yesterday. I couldn't be happier with this set. As an initial test, I loaded in the six decks of cards that came with it (not the best quality cards but hey, not bad) and withdrew cards until the shoe was empty. Then I reloaded and did it again. The shoe worked great, one card at a time every time. I placed the shoe on top of a piece of non-skid rubber shelf liner to keep it from boogying around on my wooden table which worked out just fine. One caveat for the shoe. When I first took mine out of the box, I was disconcerted to see the heavy metal roller in the shoe wasn't aligned pins-in-holes but was kinda wedged in crossways and immobile. What?! With care, I dislodged it and then carefully (CAREFULLY!) spread the plastic and guided the rollers metal pins into the receiver holes. After that, it worked fine. I combined this set with a two deck shuffler I bought at Walmart and powered that with a four-pack of rechargeable double A's that I bought at Walmart as well. Next time it's Blackjack Time, I am totally good to go!
