The outside material is hard enough to withstand a few drops and to protect the tablet. It also has ties to hold down the tablet for viewing comfort (by changing the angles). Very nice product overall and not bad for the price either.

I had purchased this case for my son and it fit our tablets very well and held them securely, while providing some padding during transport. However, when I wanted to purchase one for myself, I could not find one in the stores any longer, so I chose to purchase one online. However the one I recieved had a change in the straps that held the device in the case. These straps would not stay on my device, therefore making this case not as user friendly for me. My husband attached some Velcre strips on the back of my device that secures my device in this case, making it very useful for my needs.
