Paint a brand-new, black chalkboard on just about any smooth surface with the Rust-Oleum Chalk Board, Specialty. With this with this Black Chalk Board Paint, you can transform a corner of a room, a door or a wall into a creative surface. Use Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint to tell the family what's for dinner or to let your kids draw safely on a wall (it's fully erasable). Chalk boards aren't just for school any more.
I used this to make a neat wall to write my grocery list on, and to have a place for my little girl to draw/color. This turned out great wonderfully! I was really pleased with the results. The paint is a bit on the expensive side though. Since I did a small wall, I wasn't as worried about it.

I finally gave in and bought this paint. Previously I had a chalk board wall decal that kept falling off the wall so that was a waste of money and time. I used the Rust-Oleum chalk board paint over the course of a weekend painting my kids play room wall. It works great. It wasn't too time consuming painting the wall. I have a relatively smooth wall so it was easy.

Review 4 for Rust-Oleum Specialty Chalk Board
My new favorite paint for doors!

I bought this paint to refresh my daughters' chalkboard that no longer liked to be written on with chalk. Then I decided to revamp my pantry door. I was really tired of my kids asking what's for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Now they just read the door!! I also just painted the closet door for my entry closet and I still have more than half a can left! This stuff spreads like butta on smooth surfaces! It's best after it cures for a couple of days and then you need to prime it by rubbing a layer of chalk all over. I find that it's best to use an old rag to erase with, and if I want a really clean look I use a wet rag. My new favorite type of paint!! I have so many plans thanks to Pinterest!

It wasn't exactly what I expected, as far as the amount of amount of paint per coverage area. I wish, I had been able to get a little more paint for the money. I, also, did not expect the amount of dry time that was recommended for best quality. Also, I recommend you use the smoothest surface possible for the best results. On the plus side, The smell was not as overwhelming, as regular paint, and my kids did enjoy their new area of creativity. :)
