Arm & Hammer Odor-Eliminating Eureka Vacuum Filters work while you vacuum, removing household odors along with dirt, dust and pet dander to help improve the indoor air quality. This Arm & Hammer Vacuum Filter contains baking soda particles to neutralize odor-bearing chemicals as dirty air passes through the filter and releases clean, odor-free air into your home as you vacuum. Arm & Hammer Filters trap up to 99 percent of particles up to 1 micron in size, including allergy causing agents such as pollen and bacteria. The Eureka DCF-4 Filter and DCF-18 is a washable filter, and it fits the Eureka Powerline, Maxima, LightSpeed and LightForce (4700-4770 Series), High Performance (HP5555 Series) and 5500 Series upright vacuum cleaners. The Arm & Hammer Odor-Eliminating Eureka Vacuum Filters maintain optimal vacuum performance if you replace your filter every 90-120 days.

I was getting discouraged with my Eureka Lightspeed and was thinking of possibly getting rid of it and just get another vacuum cleaner. However, I was smart enough to have the thought "maybe I just need a new filter." Well, I bought this filter and in a word it's "magic!" It DOES truly feel like a brand new vacuum cleaner. I was amazed at how much dirt and debris was picked up on my apartment's carpet. I guess what is said is true, "filters can give the vacuum cleaner better suction." This in turn makes the vacuum operate if it was brand new... that's right... BRAND NEW!
So, 2 things that everyone reading this review needs to take away and take heed to:
1. Replace/Clean your filters every three to four months to provide better performance.
2. DO NOT waste your time calling the company that made the vacuum for filters, belts, etc., not when the good people at Walmart and other stores have you covered with reasonable priced items like this!
