Difference in Kyles story from other combatants is the involvement of his wife in telling his story. The family are the unsung hero's in war. A triumph rarely told is how the Kyle family overcame war and warrior related struggles and became the unified family under God that most of us pray for.
Don't get me wrong, there is a wealth of hard charging door kicking battle accounts not typical of snipers who usually serve as over watch. Chris Kyle is no glory hound, he's simply a highly motivated warrior who carried a heavy burden for getting the job done.

great book, a little slow to get into. an american hero. enjoyed his human side and sense of humor. a personal aside; folks younger than the viet nam era and the end of the draft have no concept of the military - these young people willingly go into combat for 3 and 4 tours, they give up their home life over and over again. they are true patriots. to that end this book is also educational, that's the life they live and willingly give. i appreciate him sharing it.
