Was hesitant about buying a refurbished computer but for the price it has turned out to be an excellent purchase. My son helped me get the network up and running and have no problems. He stated this is the easiest yet as all my computers are using XP and it was a breeze getting them all together. This being my first Dell I only have one complaint...there isn't a volume control on the keyboard which I really miss. The Dell keyboard and mouse came with the purchase and are working well. The CD player is great and also the burner works great . I rate this a 5 star purchase.

My 'old' Windows XP system "crashed"... this was the only way I found to return to XP rather than up-grade to Windows 7 or 8 !
Only problem SO FAR is that my existing speakers are NOT working (no sound !)... have yet to determine whether a "sound card" was installed... with the proper 'drivers' ???

This product was not a mini pc & was not happy with the product , it was bigger than my own than I have already & heavier too . I would not recommend this PC to anyone . The description should have been large & not mini & it went back to the store for a refund as the store wouldn't give me credit back onto my credit card . The management did not know about the refund policy but had to take the product to another store close by with no problems with that store that knew about the policy . These management needs to be more trained to know the store policies so that the customer wouldn't be running all over town trying to get a refund .

So far it has exceded expectations. Additional USB ports would be nice. Pretty much a zero learning curve on operations. Very, very quiet. Downside, no information or requirements on installing additional drives or memory or any other documentation you might require.

I like l Dell computers and this one was preloaded with Windows XP. Purchasing a new computer comes preloaded with Windows 8 and I feel that its to early to switch to Windows 8.

Why buy new? These older units are plenty fast. These are are clean with many new parts.
It is only 32 bit system, but I loaded Windows 8 with all the memory my older unit needed.
I bought this FOR the memory!
Works great. All fans and disk drives are quite.

I've been ordering refurbished computers for my businesses for several years now and by far this is the most professional of them all!!! Computers were sealed and wrapped perfectly. The units were as described and pictured which has always been a major issues with some other vendors. Others show the unit you wanted but then ship you something else. This is a true Dell Factory refurbished computer. XP Pro disk included and preloaded with NO pre-installed ad garbage like AOL or Free Trial stuff. A true professional machine ready to be put to work. The Site-to-Store was free and arrived 2 days earlier than promised! If you need Pro refurbs for your business then this is definitely the place to get them!

This computer was fast at first.. It had nothing on it to slow it down!
After a few months of use, and installing the basic programs needed for just about anything (adobe, flash, ect..) it really started to slow down. I have very fast Comcast internet, and even then, sometimes it sghms as though (remember that typo) seems as though I have dial-up, because the computer lags so badly.
Ok, that typo above there.. That isn't a typo at all. That is an example of what happens while you are typing.. it will stop recording your keystrokes, then spit out sthat youngs that you didn't do. (again, spit out crazy things you didn't type)... my mom bought one too.. it does the same thing to her. piece of junk.

Dont do it...when I finally downloaded all the microsoft updates, which was a day long process, I finally go to use my computer and there is NO sound. NONE. Plus it had a very annoying program running called strongvault. It was horrible...I couldn't get rid of it for anything. I tried to system restore 4 times and it would not restore..So i tried unsuccessfully to delete the program from the add or remove program section and it would NOT remove itsself...I took it back...while at the customer service desk they told me that people return the on line computers ALL the time. A worker at the Office Depot told me that after April of 2013 anyone with windows xp will not be able to use their computers anymore as it will no longer be available ...So on that note I am waiting to see what I can get on black friday which is around the corner...

I bought this to replace my 8 year old Dell Windows XP Pro computer, instead of buying a new Windows 7 computer, so that I would not have to buy new compatible hardware. Now I am using my same printer plus my " all-in-one" scanner-copier-printer. No additional costs with upgrading. My old Dell cost $1200..with 512 MB of memory and 100 GB hard drive. This refurbed model cost $188 and has 4 times the memory (2GB) and 2 1/2 times the hard drive (250 GB). The only downfall is the flimsy generic keyboard. I was not able to use my old deluxe/enhanced keyboard because it connects via PS2 port...which is not available on the new unit. Everything uses USB these days. I was able to use my old mouse. This computer is a good buy and I can barely hear it running....much quieter than my old one. Windows XP Pro was and is a great version.

I love Walmart I shop all the time there but this item is very poor My laptop goes faster than that My son told me to get the other brands cause this tower was made for like office work not home use but eveyone has opions and I respect them this one was not for me all in all walmart is the best I wish you would bring layaway back all year round cause I hate Kmart
