Works as well or better than my Seagate HD media player.
Buttons are on the remote only. I plugged my Harmony remote into my computer typed in ASUS O!Play Mini Media Player for the model and it was programmed in a few seconds. No need to worry about breaking or losing the original.

Just load your video files to an SD card and BOOM, enjoy! Easy to use, I have had no problems viewing the various video formats I have; flv, avi , mkv, wma they all work. I have not tried to listen to music or view pictures but I suspect it works as flawlessly as watching movies, I love it!!
Having a small issue with the remote but I just need to read the manual to figure it out, other than that , I would recommend this to anyone with a video collection.

This little device replaced a large PC used to play media files off an external hard drive. I plays ALL my movie files with out a hitch. HDMI, digital audio, cool. Even the remote is nice.

I bought this a month ago, plays all video fIles my ps3 wouldn't , at a fraction of the cost. So if your looking for a media player with powerful playability and great picture in 720p or 1080p I recommend this player. If your looking for a video streamer through a home network, than this player is not for you. I'm just moving video files from my PC to a thumb drive and into the Oplayer, still faster than burning a DVD. Also I haven't had any issues with the remote from 10 feet away all buttons work great. I recommend you get the one year wal mart insurance if you use this unit every day.

Very easy to connect using HDMI cable (not supplied). So far, it has played every photo and video file I have tried (to include ISO & VOB). I even connected a 300-GB, portable USB drive. Purpose for purchasing: to play video files from my camera's SD card directly to large screen TV. SD cards are becoming so inexpensive, I am considering backing up photos and videos on SD cards vice DVDs. This device makes it simple to view saved files. Would recommend including HDMI cable as an accessory. Software is basic but it works. Recommend reviewing the User Manual on included DVD before starting. When conecting an external hard drive I suggest using File Manager to locate files to be viewed vice allowing the software to index your files. This device does not connect to the Internet, but I did not purchase it for that feature. Also very pleased that package was delivered within 48 hrs of ordering online.
