It seems that purchasing an iron these days is seriously difficult. I just bought a Black & Decker Xpress Steam Cord Reel and I hate it. Used it once and decided I needed to find a different iron so I started looking at other reviews and decided to try this one. I went out, bought it and I have already ironed my clothes for the week and I LOVE THIS IRON!!! It is worth the money and works very well!! The steam is awesome and it got all the wrinkles out easily and quickly.

DOES A DECENT JOB. I HAD A DIGITAL IRON THAT WAS BLACK & DECKER THAT LASTED ABOUT 6 YRS. I PREFER THE DIGITAL MODEL BUT THIS WAS AVAILABLE AND THE LEAST EXPENSIVE OPTION. LOVE THE LONGER CORD ON THIS MODEL. HARD TO SEE THE WATER INSIDE

I had a Rowenta iron for 12 years that recently stopped working. I purchased another Rowenta to replace it. The new Rowenta leaked right out of the box. After looking at many reviews online, I found this iron. I purchased it at my local store, went home, and ironed with it for 3 hours straight. It never leaked! Also, the sole plate is larger than that of an average iron which is definitely a bonus. I was so happy that, finally, I found a dependable iron. It just goes to show that the more expensive brands, like Rowenta, aren't always the most well made anymore. I am super pleased with my less expensive Black & Decker iron!

This is a great product. The iron is light weight and delivers a steam burst that would remove most stubborn wrinkles. The iron heats very well so I didn't waste a lot of time ironing the same area. However, when filling the iron with water it was difficult to see if the water reached the MAX level on the water tank. Also, the iron heel rest is a bit small which makes it a little unstable on the ironing board. Overall I was very impress with the outcome. Ironing was quick and easy thanks to the steam burst and the good heat.

Great iron for the money. In our home the iron gets used everyday, so they only last a couple of years and in the past we have spent much more money for the same performance. This iron heats up very quickly, even after the autoshut off has been on. It's a good weight not to heavy or light, and like the fact that the cord is so long. Makes ironing very easy with a very smooth sole plate and powerful steam,which you can adjust. The water tank is large and never runs out, but i would change the color of it, just because it can be a little difficult to see how much water is in it as you fill it up. Overall good value for the money will proberly buy another one for when this one gives up working a couple of years from now.

I have arthritis in my hands and my shoulders. This is the best iron I've had yet. The main thing to remember is with this extra large ironing surface and no teflon, the iron just glides along the clothes with just a little direction from you. I was so used to pressing down on the iron to get it to eliminate the wrinkles that I know have to remember to relax and let the iron do the work, all I have to do is navigate. I'm serious, you have to forget how you used to iron. I love this iron and the pointed end of the plate glides right past buttons, no problem. Plenty of steam and I actually finish ironing before I can even get tired. I look and the ironing pile is gone! It's that easy and comfortable. I recommend this one highly, because I've had so many irons that are terrible and I never want another one with teflon on the bottom, they just don't have the heat..... I don't have to grip the handle hard and I appreciate that so much. This one is a winner!

not as many steam holes as there appears to be. most of the "holes" are mere dimples set in a pattern. i don't know why they did this. a few more steam holes would be good. despite the term "professional" in the title, i do not consider this to be a professional steam iron by any means. black and decker does make excellent products. i have a spacemaker toaster oven that i bought in 1985 that STILL WORKS and is used on a regular basis. hopefully, i will have this iron as long as i've had my toaster oven.

I was skeptical that a less then $25. iron would be up to my previous $100. iron, but it has been a pleasant surprise. It heats up fairly fast, glides smoothly, and has a longer pointed tip that is easier to get into small spaces such as between the shirt buttons. The resevoir holds plenty of water, however you don't want to over fill it; even with the cap over the fill opening, it will spill a little. The swivel cord actually works! Very happy with both the iron and my savings.

The iron is very cool and simple to use.

One must work too hard at getting the wrinkles out, reviewing same places with it. Moreover, the settings are unclear in the sense of relating it to the material/temperature balance. The light is just on, doesn't go from red to green or anything to let you know its properly heated up. Cheap product where you are getting what you pay for. Will have to re-evaluate future iron choices and price ranges.

I bought this iron because it is cheap and I only need a iron while sewing,and I do sew alot but it shuts off to quickly so I have to wait for it to heat back up way to often.If a person needs it for doing a days worth of ironing it would be great.

DO NOT BUY THIS IRON !
While it may be attractive because of the price, don't do it. I have had this iron for just a little more than 9 months, and I already have to replace it. Water leaks out of the iron everywhere.......onto the board, the carpet, the clothes, I mean EVERYWHERE ! And of course, because the water leaks all over the place, you have to keep filling it back up. And NO, I don't overfill the reservoir, I actually never fill it all of the way to the top. The iron is just a piece of junk, and you shouldn't waste your money.
