I'm a snowbird and wanted a hard top carrier to bring my florida finds back to Buffalo area, but I have no room to store it. At the last minute I ordered the soft carrier from site to store in one day(I left the next day). I had it jammed with stuff. It freed up the inside of the minivan for the cats to roam. I would not trust just the tie downs that are on the carrier. We anchored it from corner to corner, and then across the center with rope. I did not notice any difference in the gas mileage and had no wind whiplash. Will use it again next year. But will always anchor extra. Oh, , I expanded it to the max. Now I have it folded up real neat in storage. Well worth the money.

First time user. The seams split when it was not even closed. Straps broke off in your hand.

We couldnt use it for our trip since it ripped as we were loading it with our luggage! One of the straps to keep it on our vehicle tore as my husband tried to put it on the car! Not a good product!

My husband and I and the grandkids were going camping, with the dogs, yes 2 no less. I didn't know how we would pull this off since we had so much to pack and no overhead cargo container for the pathfinder. I looked online at Walmart and I found this hitch-haul expandable. I read the reviews and it seemed perfect for what we needed. Not to mention, it was available online for pick up in the store same day! We purchased the item and it fit the 2 queen size air mattresses, with sheets and blankets. It fit the 10 person tent we had purchased from Walmart as well, it fit our bags packed with our clothes, it fit our towels and beach clothes and the dogs cages sat tight and neatly underneath! It was secure with fasteners my husband had purchased because we read some reviews about the flapping of the straps to avoid this problem. It was great! I would definitely recommend this product.

I needed a cargo bag quickly to replace a different model, where the zipper had failed. This was the only one that I was able to find, that I could get quickly. It held up very well on our 5 hour vacation to New Hampshire. The ends of the straps did fray a little from flapping in the wind. Next time, we will make sure that they are secured better. Very spacious, we were able to fit a large suitcase, and three small ones in it -- Enough for 3 adults and 2 kids for a week. It was nice to be able to see out the rear window of our minivan for a change!

This bag held up nice on our 9 hour trip. Kept everything dry when it rained.
Was a bit difficult to use the straps provided so we ended up using bungie cords instead.
held two large suitcases and one medium size and 2 duffle bags when expanded, plus two kids razor scooters. Overall it held a lot. Not sure it was worth the cost of it though.

I have used this on several trips and it has done very well fitting extra luggage and our stroller. However, on our most recent trip in very hot weather, the combination of the extreme heat and exhaust pipe melted a hole in the bag. Never had a problem with this on even longer trips so I'm thinking the 100 degree weather helped. It always worked well so I'm buying another to replace it. Just be sure to keep it as far as you can from the exhaust pipe.

The bag itself was just OK. It is HUGE to pack a ton of stuff, but we weren't able to use it because one of the snaps busted and a strap ripped when trying to load it on top. We did not have anything it at the time.

I bought it for my jeep to help move my things from Washington to Texas. It kept most of the water out but a few things did get damp. The straps were annoying. We had to tape them to reduce the wind noise. But over all good product for the price.

Strapped it onto my HitchHaul cargo carrier using my own straps.
Also used the attached connectors. Didn't feel comfortable using just the attached connectors due to the distance and speed I was going to be traveling.
Drove through some pretty decent rain and bag kept luggage inside dry

This product performed on a 2,000 mile trip through all kinds of weather, only slush seemed to be an issue. hauled about 200 lbs worth of clothes and small household items on a carrier in the back. We did not need to expand it four our use.
