I saw this torch being used at a local restaurant and I wanted to have the same for my deck. I bought 6 of them from Walmart and they are great. About 8 hours of burn time, nice looking and they seem well built. As with all these things, I am planning to keep them in the shed during winter and also considering getting/making plastic covers to extend the life of them. But they do come with a large cover cap that protects the wick and the top from rain.
The torch burns very well and seems to handle wind pretty good, as described. I am so far very happy with my purchase of 6 torches.

I decided to purchase these because they were metal and thought they would hold up much better than the bamboo. After getting them home and the amount of flame that came out was amazing and it really did help the the bug situation!!! The bugs this year are going to be bad since we had such a mild winter and we are going to need all the help we can get. These Tiki Island King Torch's are AMAZING you will not go wrong getting them...!

I was first going for the smaller Genii metal torch, but when I saw that Island King model put out a larger flame I thought, *if some is good, more is better*. Wow, it is like being at Disneys Polynesian Resort! The flame was very small at first, but then I read the instructions which said wait 15m after filling to let the wick absorb the oil. After a 20m rest – the flame was awesome. The strong summer breezes didnt affect the torch at all. My patio is now well lit and festive.
