I bought this hitch basket for camping and it was just what we needed for all that extra stuff you need to take that just does not fit in the car. It was easy to put together and made well. The only thing I could say negative was it should have came with reflectors on it; I had to buy them separate.

Have had mine for ten years and gave it to my son this summer to help move his family to California. I've used it to Haul water and Gas into New Orleans after Katerina, have used it to haul Black Walnut logs from NC to FL for turning and carving, hauled firewood for 6 seasons, luggage for numerous trips and it was very easy to assemble all those years ago. I'll be getting my replacement this week at Walmart. $59 is a heck of a lot cheaper than a trip from Florida to CA to pick up my old one.

I would say I was a little skeptical about this one because it was so inexpensive, but it is a great luggage hitch, my husband put it together with no problems and it is not a cheap looking thing. I am glad I bought it. Wish I had bought it years ago. and I'm glad I didn't buy one of the fold up ones as we took it off when we got to our location anyway and really didn't need one that folded. Sturdy and reliable. I am happy with it.

Directions are confusing but a little common sense goes a long way. Product worked as advertized. Good bang for the buck

We needed more space for our vacation. Walmart had the best price. It assembled quickly with no problems. We hauled four suit cases on our Toyota Highlander with no problems

Best $60 I've Spent In A Long Time

I have a 2011 GMC Acadia. Needed room for 5 passengers, their stuff, and supplies for a week. Car top carriers are a pain to load/unload and not as aerodynamic as hitch haulers (my opinion). I've seen these hitch carriers before, so got one. Didn't even know it was there while driving (except it messed up my backup camera when loaded). I had two Sterlite 50 gallon containers (13+ cubic feet total) loaded with maybe 200+ pounds of stuff. I also put tail lights, a license plate light, and a 7 pin connector on it. Total investment - maybe $150, including containers, wiring, lights, and straps. I also bought the cross-rails for my roof rack from the dealer ($195 + tax, ouch!) and installed them, just in case I didn't have enough room, but I did. Only reason why I didn't give the Hitch Haul 5 stars - I'd be nervous putting 500 pounds on it (the advertised max). I'm no engineer, but it doesn't seem that sturdy to me. Two halves held by bolts. Other than that, awesome.

A l ittle tougher to put together than I expected but eventually got it done. Serves my purpose which is very infrequent use, but a good buy.
