1) I brought this in March 2012, It's April 2013 and ti's still working (even with the scratches my children left on the screen). 2) The picture quality isn't as crisp as a 1080p monitor, but it's clear enough to see from any angle in the living room. It's hooked up to my custom built HTPC using the HDMI cable. 3) The sound is alright, it's nothing special. It would have been more clearer if they didn't put the speakers in the back of the monitor facing the wall (I'd prefer forward facing speakers). 4) Movies, websites and TV channels all appear very clearly on the screen. The black's aren't deep and rich, but again...it'll do.
Overall this is a low cost "get the job done" monitor. Nothing mind blowing about it.

Wow! 1st off. Right out of the box this tv is gr8. I wanted 1080p and 120hz, Now, I have a nice tv and $200 left in my pocket lol. I wanted a name brand tv and so thought Emerson been making tvs since I can remember, ( Im 44 ) This tv has a built in equalizer and sounds gr8 all on its on. I can see and hear tv clearly in my kitchen, 30 foot away. Has a built in sound bar, keeps all sound same, so no screaming commercials lol. I paid, in store, $178 for tv and am very happy. Picture is fine for 720p 60hz and sound is gr8 on this tv. Spend $450 if you want a better picture, this 1 is gr8 tho, and I dont even have HD, just regular dish signal lol. TV is GR8 buy for the buck. Period! So stop your whining $250 more for a better pic lol. Im happy. Thanks Emerson!

Tv was hung in my recreation room and only turned on about six or seven times in four months. When I turned it on the last time, Nothing. Emerson offered no help and a local TV repair shop wanted a $60 deposit to look at it. Then I read the reviews. Should have done that before I bought it. JUNK, PURE JUNK.

I bought this t.v on black Friday 2012. It had a really good price and decided to buy it for my father for his Christmas present. How I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing it.He has had it for about two and a half months and the t.v has just stopped working. It does not turn on at all. I am very disappointed, I will never buy another Emerson product again!

Bought 2 32" for a condo in Florida. One only lasted a few hours before not coming on. Called repair. They said I must Pay $75.00 and they would send a box to mail it back. No box after 3 months and many phone calls. WalMart must know of the problems, it is all over the Internet. Don't buy an Emerson.

DO NOT BUY this junk tv, it will not last!!! Emerson 32" tv only lasted about one year, total waste of money. Like many other people, the red power light is on, but it won't turn on no matter what, used remote, used button on tv, unplugged it for awhile, it's dead! When it worked the picture and sound were ok, not great and the remote has weak ir signal and off angle use. Very poor tv overall.

I purchased this TV from Wal-mart for my husband as a birthday present. It worked fine for the first couple of months and then all of a sudden just went out while we were watching it. Fortunately, Wal-Mart accepts returns within 90 days so we were able to return for a full refund. The manufacturer's warranty is only for 90 days as well so I'm glad it failed when it did or we would have been out of luck. Had it failed even a couple weeks later, we would have not been able to get a refund.

Like many other consumers who've reviewed this product; I will tell you not to buy this TV. I purchased this one year ago and it just died. No warning signs at all. For the last 12 months it worked just fine. In the middle of a show it just shut off and will not turn back on. I'm not going to go thru the hassle of calling them but I definitely will never buy an Emerson product ever again! Don't buy it, you will regret it.

I got this from a friend on Black Friday for Christmas. After 3 months (the end of the full warenty) the screen started popping up with green pixle lines after another month their was a 1/2 in black line on the side of the screen. I called emerson got a number for the warenty department after 1 1/2 hours of waiting on the phone I got a person. Extremely rude customer service. They went through they checklist to make sure it was the TV itself then sent me out a box. 2 weeks later I got the box and shipped it off to them. 2 weeks late I got a call it couldn't be fixed and they were sending me a refurbished one. 2 weeks later (today) I got it and there is no power the TV doesn't work at all. so after 6 weeks I still do not have a working TV and I had to pay $70 for the labor costs. Will never buy an Emerson for myself.

Purchased this in December 2011 (manufacturing date is October 2011) and the TV just died. Contacting Emerson/Sunai is a exercise in patience. I understand that these TV's are manufactured by Sunai in Malaysia for Walmart and sold on the cheap, but what good is a good price if you have to buy another in under a year?

ok it is well worth the money real nice picture. tuner could be a little stronger. problem is it went out 4 months after we bought it. walmart warranty is only 90 days. emersons is a year but its a scam. you will have to pay for the labor. emerson will only pay for parts! the labor will be more than what you paid for set. this model have lots of power supply problems. emerson knows it but continues to dump on market cause issues usually happen after a few months and most will not repair it because of labor cost. so dont by it. walmart should pull it. AGAIN DO NOT BUY IT
