I haven't had this computer very long, but so far I've been very satisfied. It's much quicker than the Windows Vista based computer it replaced. The quality seems good, the included software is helpful, and installation was easy. It's a very compact package, about the size of a hardcover dictionary, and comes with a vertical mount bracket attached. The unit can be used horizontally if desired. There are adequate USB ports both front and back of the unit. The only thing lacking is a phone line modem, but I guess these are becoming obsolete. Windows has FAX features built in that don't require such a modem, and most folks have high speed internet these days. There are a few shortcomings in the desktop's documentation where it discusses the acer's features. However, no worse than other manufacturer's manuals I've had with other equipment. The DVD drive was somewhat of a challenge, with its non-motorized pop-out tray and verticle orientation. I wasn't sure how to mount a disk and keep it in place while closing the tray. But I was able to figure it out and not damage anything. However, this is where I wish there was more information about how to lock disks into the vertical tray and manually close the door.
I like this machine and its very small footprint. It's amazing that acer can pack all the features into such a small package, and have everything work well. I would buy this machine again and recommend it to others.
