I have been wanting an ereader for several years, but thought the price was just too high. When I saw this for $59 just had to grab it. Love the e ink, very easy to read. Battery life is excellent. Had a spare 2GB microSD card so will be able to load up many, many books.

This item is useless to me. I could not connect to my Internet service so I could not register the product. I am going to return the product to Walmart. I talked to a Nook tech and she could not help me. I don't know what else to do unless the item is defective.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. There is only con which I new about before purchasing. It can be just a tab bit slow to change pages sometimes, but it's not enough of problem to become an annoyance. Overall I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a basic e-reader.

I love this product! This is the second Nook Simple touch, I've owned. The only reason I had to get a new one was because I literally used it until it refused to turn pages (and I had my last one for at least 2 years, I think). I like how basic it this e-reader is. It is easy to use. You can access BarnesandNoble.com from this device with ease in order to purchase books. I also like that you can take it outside and actually be able to read from it without having glare! The battery-life can last for up to a week (and I an an avid reader and use it everyday, so that says a lot). I don't like the extras that other tablets have I have a regular color tablet computer, but I hate it. The battery doesn't last as long, the glare is horrible and is hard to read outside, and I like that my nook is focused on books, not a bunch of apps that don't work most of the time. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is a huge reader.

Nice basic reader. Perfect size for on-the-go. For some reason, the first one wouldn't conect to Wi-Fi. Swapped it a Barnes & Noble and this new one works fine. Great price.

This may be the last generation of e-ink, all the new products seem to be scaled-down tablets. E-ink is the reasons I wanted an e-reader. Reading off a tablet/laptop screen/bright lcd is not fun for me at all. E-ink is pretty fantastic.
SO, i really do like reading off the nook touch BUT to be honest with what it does, it's not really worth more than about $12. It's a one trick pony, and it doesn't even do that trick very well. I did manage to get mine for much less thanks to walmart pricematch (radio shack was selling them for $19.97 and walmart matched it). Still $8 more than I think it's worth, but that being said I use it daily and enjoy reading from it.
Nook makes certain books free like Anand Bhatt's Rock Star Recipes which is good too! (Amazon charges $14.99 for that book, I was able to get Rock Star Recipes for free on my nook somehow).

Great product for bookworms. Easy to use and comes it its own little "carrying case." Long battery life. Only grudge is the lack of security features (can't be locked). Other than that, a perfect item for my needs.

When I agve it to my wife for a valentine present, she wanted a backlight so she could use it to read in bed at night and not disturb me with a light on. So, I upgraded to the Nook simple touch with glow light, exellant choice for price.

I purchased this for a gift My grand daughter loves it she reads books constantly. She loves the idea of not having a book to turn pages and lose her spot. and to download the books she like to read.

My daughter let me use her Nook 1st Edition just to see if I liked it, but I never thought I'd purchase a Nook for my own use. I'm glad I bought the Simple Touch. After using the 1st Edition for a while, it took some re-learning to get used to the Simple Touch. But I really like it now. Easy to download book from Barnes and Noble and also Epub books through the local library. I like to read a lot and this will be a lot easier to take on trips rather than hauling 10 pounds of books along.
