TERRIBLE FISHING POLE

I was very dissappointed in this fishing pole. The handiling is loose. The drag grinds. The line tangles up on the reel too easy. No matter what line i put on it, I cannot get a satisfying distance. I have spent more time fixing the product than I do fishing with it. I feel that zebco used to be a very good company, but in later days they are trying to scrape by with the Zebco name and paying very little attention to quality.

What are you expecting for a 12$ COMBO? This thing delivers more than its worth. I bought one for my 7 year old daughter and she loves it. It is her first adult sized spinning reel to learn with and it works great, she catches sunfish, catfish, and carp on it. Just set the drag and hook because the line is on it. You get the usual amount of tangling as expected with a child but I don't believe the rod is at fault ALL of the time. I've even use this rod when fishing with multiple rods. Pick it up if you need another cheap rod and put the reel away for an extra. Good Luck!
