I purchased the nuvi 1450LMT to replace an older nuvi 350 that I have owned for years. The 1450 has many excellent new features plus those included in the 350. It is very to use, locates satellites quickly and offers a wide varity of methods to locate and obtain directions to your destination. Listing the speed limit as well as your current speed is a plus especially when traveling in an unfamiliar area where the speed limit changes often and advising which lane you should be in to exit is extreemly helpful. This unit, like the 350, has spoken directions so there is no distraction, allowing you to focus on driving and not reading the GPS.
I am very pleased with this unit and highly recommend it.

Bought a Tomtom couple years back at a Black Friday sale and didn't come with map updates. At $50 a years - this was a bargain with the life time maps plus went from 3.4 inch to 5 inch screen. Easier on the eyes and directions are more accurate. Also like the POI is easy to access when you are in a area new to you. Found this to be quite accurate on speed limits and where they change.
Only recommendation is buy a mirco SD card before updating maps. Picked up 8GB where else - Walmart for $9.
It does take a whle to up online - I use DSL so that may be part it but no biggie.

This is my second Garmin product. I love the large screen that the 1450 LMT offers.
By the way, if you are a first time GPS buyer, make sure you get one that comes with lifetime maps. I am replacing my old one that did not come with lifetime maps which served me well for years, but simply has become outdated, map-wise.

The display shows items that the user can select to be displayed. My favorite item displayed is the altitude as you are driving. Another feature is the ability to select a city that you may want to view in advance of your trip. This GPS is worth the money.

Bought this GPS as a gift for someone else. I have an older Garmin model that I still use and love. I programmed some address into the GPS before I wraped it up. It was easy to use. Love the bigger screen and the traffic display. The receiver of this gift is very happy with it and wishes she had gotten one earlier.

After selling my SUV with navigation we had to get a portable one. We really like this Garmin it isn't as good as one built in your vehicle but we did like this one. I like the speed limit feature.

Large screen is easy to see while driving. This GPS is very easy to program and to use with the preloaded data and map updates stored in it. Value wise, it is a great deal for the money. I also have a Garmin 1350LMT and only wish I had bought one of the 1450 instead. The 1350LMT is a nice unit, but the 1450LMT is a better value with a larger screen to boot.

I ended up purchasing two of these units when my older 255WTs crashed. The large screen, quick satellite pickup and easy navigation are a real plus, but the lifetime maps and traffic are the icing on the cake!! Highly recommended!

I'm in the process of purchasing this unit for a second time. The first time, my car was broken into and it was stolen. I loved it so much, I'm replacing it with the exact same unit. It's wonderful!
