The Acer Iconia 484G64ns Dual Touchscreen is a amazing concept that made its way to the store shelves. Unfortunately Acer like always has after a lousy 6 Month annoced its discontinuation. So get it while its available. To use its full Potential you will have to wait till Windows 8 comes out but chances are that no one will release a dual Touchscreen notebook anytime soon so this is it.
Cons:
- Viewing Angle of screens could be much better especially flat on the table playing a two player game on each end of the Device.
- Too heavy
- No CD/DVD Burner / eRecovery requires it to make backups. (Agreed teaching eRecovery new Tricks like USB Stick Backups would be better, but until then it needs a CD/DVD/Blueray if only because it is designed for Multimedia)
- Not enough Touch enabled Windows Software on the market yet to fully enjoy it.
- Weak Graphics especially because of the two screens. (Battery needs to Power both dont forget that)
- CPU FAN starts audibly when doing anything
- Requires more RAM (I recomend two 4GB 1333MHZ PC1066 SO-DDR3 Modules to replace the two 2GB Modules)
- The 3 USB Connectors are unfortuntely not at the best location for the type of "Notebook" it is.
Pros:
- Very practical and about the cooles looking "Notebook" when open.
- Multitouch displays. (I get the feeling the lower one reacts better)
- Customizable Keyboard Background Skins (Keys can be adjusted but through hacks in INI files)
- Keyboard is up and down movable and adjusts spacing by typing a test text.
- AcerRing is realy cool but could use further development which is unlickely to happen.
Reconmende Addons:
InkSeine, all Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Tools, OrigamiExperiencePackv2, KindleForPC, Betty Crocker Kitchen Assistant, ArtRage Studio Pro, SmartDraw 2011, Zinio Reader, VirtualCloneDrive, Roboform, ZAC Browser, Kidzui
And last but not least BumpTop Pro or if you are unlucky the free version if you can still find it anywhere. Google bought it up and its gone forever. RIP BumpTop Pro it was the coolest and greatest Multitouch 3D Desktop you could ever have imagined. No wonder Google was interessted.
Conclusion: If you dont know what you are doing dont buy it and wait for Windows 8 native Devices. If you want the hardware to test the Software that will eventually arive and you know what you are doing this is about the greatest toy. And with a SSD very snappy.

I am currently writing my review on this machine. Very happy with it. I would highly recommend reformatting this and putting Windows Developer preview on it. That is what I did. It works perfectly running the new Windows Dev or Windows 8 as it will be known. I feel as though I am on the front edge of technology now. This is a very reasonable price, as all other new notebook vendors have this around $1400. I paid $1098 for mine, well worth it. I would opt for a stylus as well. The second screen is handy, especially with a stylus. Windows Dev also lets me use the HD webcam on more creative ways. Also like the finish of the screens. It hasn't scratched yet, knock on wood, and the finger prints go away easily with a microfiber cloth. The exterior shell also makes this shine an almost gold color. I also am teaching myself piano with the new in Windows dev, very fun. I would hop on this bandwagon if you have the patience to learn to type on a visual surface. Windows 8 will be among us soon, this computer uses everything to the max and makes this a great value.
