I bought this mop to replace my old one that required a filter. I hated the filter it always smelled and cost way too much to replace. I read about every mop I could find and tons of reviews before I decided on this one. I really like it so far. I thought it was a little strange that the floor wasn't very wet when I got done, but it is obviously clean. When there was visible dirt on the floor this steam mop removed it with one swipe. I couldn't believe it. So I will just trust that it really does kill 99.9% of germs and all that. It maneuvers well, heats up fast, and its light in weight. I like that it come with a way to remove hard water so I can just use my regular tap water. To me that is key. I don't want to use a cleaning solution or buy bottled water. I just want a steam mop that uses water and gets my floor clean so this is the one for me. Plus I like that I got it from walmart where things tend to be cheaper!

The handle on my Shark broke and I needed a replacement. I knew that the Shark's had a lot of complaints for breaking or the heating filament burning out but I needed a floor steamer quickly and Haan's are not sold in store. The Haan is a very nice steamer, light and easy to operate. I like the fibers on the Haan pad much better. The pad fibers on the Shark are longer so sometimes I would get 'dust drag.' Supposedly you are not supposed to dry the Shark pads in the dryer and mine may have accidentally gotten thrown in so maybe that was the problem. I just know it made more work for me. I do not have that problem with this Haan and the back of the pad is thick Velcro so no throwing it in the dryer by accident! My only complaint is that the cord is kinda short. The Shark was about 5 inches longer and I sure miss that extra length. I wish the Haan's cord were longer. But overall, I really like it.

I've used it on my kitchen, bathroom and laundry room floors. I think it did what it says. I am pleased with the results after just one use. I will never use a mop and cleaner again. I would recommend it to family and friends.

I bought this product because I was tired of mops. However, after trying it out, it did not do any better than a mop. It couldn't get out basic stains that my mop could. I had to stay over the area for 5 minutes to notice a change. I have 2 kids, so my floors get messy. I would not recommend for homes w/ kids or pets. However, delivery and purchase was easy and fast! I did return the product.

We had read reviews and people really liked this steam mop. However, when we used it, we noticed that steam only comes out in the center of the mop head - so if you are trying to clean in tight spots the steam will never reach it. This was very disappointing. If we had not already thrown out the box it came in - we would have returned the steam mop.
A relative had one and said she had nothing but trouble with it.
I would suggest a different steam mop for your money.

My entire house is laminate flooring. I was so tired of using a mop and bucket in the never ending battle to keep my floors clean, so I ordered this steam mop. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews and decided on the HAAN over the other brands. It got a lot of dirt off of my floors the first time I used it and made them look and feel clean with no residue or sticky film that some other floor cleaners leave. Steams very consistently and is lightweight. Would definitely recommend this to someone who struggles with a traditional mop.

I read the other reviews and thought I would give this steam mop a try. I just purchased a house with all hardwood floors throughout and hoped this mop would be the answer to removing the dust from the floors. It works ok for removing everyday dirt, but doesn't seem to get nearly as hot as I thought it would. The pad is just a tad warm to the touch. It works ok on tile floors. Again, the steam is not very hot, so the floor remains damp for a little while as the steam doesn't evaporate right away. Also, the cord is not very long, so I have to keep unplugging it and move to another socket/outlet if I'm cleaning a large room. I didn't pay a lot of money for this steam mop, so I'm not hugely disappointed. I guess if you want something for heavy-duty cleaning, you have to pay heavy-duty prices?

I was so excited to get this after my shark died, but I am truly disappointed. I have brand new tile and laminate wood. This steam mop leaves a film all over the floor and I hate it. I've read some things on the internet and it says that the film is from other cleaners, but I have NEVER used cleaners on my floor only steam so that's not the reason there is a film. I am throwing this out and buying something else. Don't waste your money.

Had original Haan steamer & loved it- when it died, knew I wanted another- Walmart had the best price - old steamer was unable to get under kitchen cabinets due to it's high profile- this new model gets under everything, angles into difficult spaces, and heats up in much shorter time. Received shipment in only 3-4 days! A great buy

This is my first experience with a steam mop. I purchased the Haan after reading a lot of reviews. I'm very pleased with it! It definitely made floor cleaning easier. My only issue is that the pads seem to become saturated quicker than I thought they would, necessitating more frequent changes. They also take a long time to dry, since they are so thick. I'm glad I bought extra pads.

I had a Shark that finally died so i decided I would try this one since it was on the Consumer list as one of the best. I was amazed at how easy it guides across the floor. I was so use to how hard it was with the Shark that I was in ahh. I also bought extra pads since my whole house is tile. I doesn't take me long and i actually do not dread mopping.
Worth every penny!

I have replaced using my swiffer with the Haan. I have only used the machine a couple of times, so far, so good! Looking forward to washing and reusing pads instead of throwing away swiffer pads. Makes more sense cost wise and environmentally to use water and wash and re-use pads.

So far this mop is all they advertised its easy to use you just feel that your floors are clean after you use it with no chemicals so you love that your grandchildren can crawl on the floors or pick something up and not worry what they are getting on them or putting in their mouths. we love it.

I bought this after reading everyone's reviews....so knew what I was looking for. It puts out plenty of "hot" steam, it gets under my kitchen cabinet edge, it goes around my toilets, and it stands upright by itself. Oh, and it cleans my floors better than they've ever been cleaned. As I said above "I LOVE IT". I don't know how durable it will be yet as I've only used it twice.
