I bought this to hook up to my 40in tv and had a couple probelms hooking it since it didnt have a digital graphics card in it had to go out and by an aftermarket one right away with hdmi out on it otherwise it has worked great so far streaming videos and music seems to have plenty of memory and is pretty fast.

I was looking for a desktop replacement. This fit the bill perfectly. I used my old LCD monitor, quad speakers, and subwoofer along with the wireless keyboard and mouse. This is far better than my 10 year old PC that it replaced. Just what I needed, don't need the latest and greatest sound and video cards. In fact most don't. So far very happy with my purchase and I'm sure it will stay that way.

I replaced my dell insperion with this acer.sofar it has done everything i wanted.i can play hulu streaming to the tv,run sony vegas 8 wich ran very slow on my dell.i also had video running on the net all at the same time.i read that people was saying this is not for gaming.well i talked to a guy at bestbuy and he told me that they mostly had all intergrated videocards in their desktops and i also looked at pc games at gamestop.they didnt have very many games for the pc now.the guy at bestbuy told me that most people use ps3,xbos,or wii for their games.so pc are kinda out for games these days, i think.i think tablets like ipad will takeover pc's eventually.my wife bought a kindle fire.its good for net,books,net games.bottom line,this pc will probably last a average person a while:)

Overall this is a good pc for Office/Gaming. I've done my research on this and it does come with the max ram, 4 gigs thats it. The Video is good, but this has no HD. But that can be fixed by a simple power supply upgrade with a new video card, which is what i plan on doing anyway. From what I've read a 350w power supply does just fine. But if you're not a big gamer then I would leave it as is.

Ram is upgradable to 8gb ddr3

The ram is upgradable to 8gb you have to remove the two 2gb sticks and add two 4gbs
I had no problem upgrading the power supply from a 220watt to a 350 watt. I also added an Asus 1gb ddr3 128 bit nvidia PciE graphics card and a PciE 1x sound card. Plays games great overall system score is a 7.6

Great computer period. specs are awesome and for internet browsing and itunes and little games it is awesome. Like everyone has mentioned before it is not for gaming and quite frankly this should have closer to a 5 star review. The people rating this down because you couldnt put a graphics card in it or upgrade the power supply... are you serious? of course you cant in the little case this computer comes in and most computers these days are getting smaller which in my opinion is not better. if you are going to buy any game for this computer, it better be old school or not call of duty or something because this computer wont do it. you can however buy a new case and find out what size motherboard you have and install it that way but 99% of people looking at this computer wont even think about doing that. So if you are the guy/girl researching before you buy, this is safe. if you cant tell there's experience talking. I have my computer all built for gaming and i cant remember the last time i put a game in... i did my research and this computer was perfect for my grandma and she loves it. quad core, 4gigs of ram at DDR3 speeds... also a 1tb hard drive... this things sweet. Remember the smaller the computer the less airflow it typically has and with that said more problems can arise. electronics need to stay cool. have a good day and happy computer shopping.

DVD drive a pain to get to. No USB port in front, which means the unit has to be pulled out of wherever it is stored to get at the USB ports.

I went from an old dell optiplex 745 with a 160gb hard drive, dual core processor, and 2gb of memory to this and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 4gb of memory and a quad core processor make this super fast. Acer has definately made major improvements to their brand since thier early days of being a throw-away brand.

My Gateway's mother-board died after almost 4 years. I had worked on an Acer, which was fairly old at the time, at my job. It was very reliable and a workhorse. So, after checking out the specifications and the reviews, I decided to give this computer a try. It is just really easy to use, fast, very quiet and half the size of the old Gateway. I was not used to a vertical CD/DVD drive, but it works easily and great. I am very satisfied with the computer, and also with the fast service from Wal Mart. I ordered it online and it was at my store within 4 hours, ready to be picked up. Fantastic!

Good value. Inexpensive and full of power. I3 processor with a large HD, memory, and burner. Loaded all my gear onto it and it performs really well. Added Microsoft Pro Tools and it works as a good home/home business computer.

lots of bang for your buck, nice sleek case, all black, looks great on top of desk. Boots super fast will give your average user many years of fun and service. multitasking is this things middle name has plenty of power to do most anything you want . be warned if you think you want to play high end games forget this machine. but if all you want is to surf the web ,email, play, simple facebook games, need a machine to do office work on etc then this is all youll need and then some . out of the box windows index scores are as follows Processor 7.3Memory 5.9Graphics 3.5Gaming Graphics 3.2Primary hard disk 5.9all in all great machine for the money just dont be looking to add on or upgrade it is what it is. has pci 2.0 is upgradeable to 8gb ram (only two slots) has a 220w psu

Great TV, however, it does not have the red,white, and yellow plugs for the WII, DVD, and stereos hookups; only has one set - those plugs are for cable. It only has the HDMI plugs for any other hookups. Your electronics would need to be HDMIs only.
Picture view is great and the sound is great as well.
