I use three different Ugly Sticks for all of my fishing in the Great Lakes. From fishing for Yellow Perch to trolling for Walleye. They have never let me down, and I won't use any other rod!

I'm using this as a medium light saltwater rod, and the quality for the money of these rods cannot be beat. Using a Shakespeare Spinning Reel w/20lb braided line (6lb diameter). Sensitivity is great, and it's stiff enough for flounder, Reds or what-have-you. Sure there are many rods much more capable, but dollar-for-dollar these rods are great. Read more reviews about Ugly Stik rods and you'll find that the majority of folks like these rods for the money.
