As with some of the other reviews, this is a bit stiff but not unbearably so. It came very fast and was easy to put together. It looks like a much more expensive piece of furniture so I am very pleased with it.

Beautiful sofa. Easy to asemble. Pretty sturdy. The only reason it didnt Five Stars is that it's just a tad hard. If it were a bit softer it woud have been a 5-Star sofa. I would still recommend it.

We ordered the futon & had it shipped to our home for free. It looked very nice overall & seemed very comfortable for a futon, it was easy to put together & convert from seat to bed; BUT it had 2 rips in the covering. They were both in very noticeable places - on the top & on the front of the seat. So we returned it at our nearest Walmart with absolutely NO hastle from them & attempted to reorder it & try again since it seemed quite comfortable & looked so nice. We've since received another in perfect condition.

I love this futon! It is classy, stylish, and sturdy. I added a few colorful pillows on this and it really jazzed up my daughters room. Great addition for sleep overs. I'am glad I purchased this. Not to mention it arrived pretty quickly. Quite pleased, would definitely recommend this item!

Classy, functional, solid, strong,stylish and my friends and guests loved it!
I spent few hours sitting on it watching the rain from my window and surfing the web
I can tell you it's a very comfortable, well made futon. I put it together in 20 mins. Enjoy!

Great quality, much better than I expected for the price. Easy assembly, I'm 110lb. woman and was able to unpack and assemble it all alone in about 15 mins. Firm cushions, not the most comfortable for sitting, but lying down it's not bad at all! Love that I can put the back in multiple positions. Really impressed with this item. And my living room looks much nicer too!

I love the look. It should mix well with any contemporary-furnished room. You'll probably want to think about pillows that provide some lumbar support for those of us with shorter legs but it doesn't feel terribly low to the ground. The lack of arms is a bit foreign to me but just like anything new, it'll take some getting used to. As far as flattening this out for sleep, it's as futon-like as futons get. There's not a lot of give or cushion so you may want to consider some type of pad or air mattress for sleeping. It's a nice stopgap until I can afford a living room suite that'll also function nicely for visiting family that is surprisingly quick to set up.

This futon doubles as a reasonably comfortable bed but only if you are 5'9" or shorter. Any taller and your feet will hang off the edge. It is great for person with a one bedroom apartment. It comfortable, good looking, and easy to put together. The construction is actually much stronger than I anticipated.

We purchased two vanilla futons. One of the legs that you screw on was stripped. For the price it wasn't a big deal, and my husband is handy and he bought a nut and it was fine. The other futon, through no fault of the manufacturer (Federal Express was the shipper) the box was crushed and ripped. The futon had a tear, but it was between the two sections that fold down and so we bought vinyl glue and ivory duct tape and repaired it. It took two of us to get these out of the boxes, and then flipped up each time we went up another step. You need two people to get this in the house, and then flip up when the legs are on. This futon is: gorgeous, comfortable, stylish, sturdy and we are just besides ourselves. We are "high-end" people and needed extra sleeping for a guest suite. It is one of the best purchases we have "EVER" made! You will NOT be disappointed!!

I bought this futon and it was easy to put together that same night my son who is quiet tall slept on it he said it was very comfortable .great price and very clean looking .I would recommend it , in fact i am buying another one . goes great with our small apartment and looks like a good size bed.

The posts that had the pictures of the futon in a real living room setting is what solidified my reason to buy this futon. I wanted to buy two like others have, but decided to get one first, see how I liked it, then go from there. I WILL be buying a second one. The color (at least on my computer screen) is accurate, a vanilla color. It's incredibly easy to put together, and I did it all by myself! Very easy to clean.
I previously had large and bulky furniture, now I want more streamline items to get the space back in my living room. This futon, for me, completely fits the bill in that regard! I'm also trying to go with a bit of a 'Mad Men' meets 2013 theme and this futon worked just like what I had visioned for my living room.
I was having a bit of buyer remorse after I made the order, concerned that the futon would look cheap, but I was to be wrong on that count when I took it out of the box and put it together!
For those of you that have cats, like I do, I was also concerned about them clawing it to death! I know that all cats are not the same but the two that I have for some reason have respected the material. There is one spot that has some holes from their nails but you really have to look for it to see it.
All in all I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside for me would be that I wished the legs were a little bit longer to make the futon sit up higher but that's the nature of futons, they typically sit low.
