The quality of the product is surprisingly good for how much I spent on it. I have two young boys and if anyone knows how boys are they have a tendency to be rough on anything you buy. So the cost of dresser was very appealing to me. It was fairly easy to put together and they are holding up very well to how abusive my boys can be. I like the color and the size of the drawers are very large compared to other dressers I looked at. The metal slides of the drawers are really tough and work so much better than plastic ones. I would totally recommend this to anyone who needs something that looks nice for a low price. :)

Looks so much more expensive than it is. For being a Sauder product and not solid wood, it is great. I love how it looks and I hope to get more of this set for my bedroom. It's inexpensive, especially since I am a recent Graduate school graduate waiting to pay student loans!

I was so disappointed when I received this item. We just moved into a new place and I ordered this item because it looked nice and sturdy in picture. When my husband opened the box, there were cracks all the across each panel of the dresser. It showed me just how flimsy this piece was. I am returning it as soon as possible to Walmart for a full refund. Very, very cheap material if it couldn't withstand being shipped without cracking. Now that I think about it...this item was ready for delivery on the same day that I bought it so it wasn't even shipped and it was broken. Do not buy this product.

It´s Sauder, economic line, but Sauder. There is nothing more to say.
Only one thing to be considered: color is not cinnamon cherry, not at all. It´s dark espresso.
Delivery was earlier (four days), than expected. Walmart would have to make a phone call announcing that, because if you are not at home, the postman let the box at the front door and furniture can get wet.
And that would be a pity.

I've just finished my 6th cabinet. I must like them. Be careful to follow the instructions. I've deviated a little: I used their nails for the drawers; but, for the backing I used 5/8 inch long wire nails, a common hardware product. Nail them in "straight," so they don't stick outside of the boards. Same goes for the drawers. With my first chest, I installed the non-tipover hardware. I didn't like the extra "drag" it put on the drawer operation, so I didn't use it on any of the chests; however, the contents of theses drawers are light, and I never pull out more than one drawer at a time. For your particular situation, you might want to use them. Assembly is not quick, but hang in there. Be sure to make your drawer adjustments, so you get smooth operation. I actually enjoy assembling these chests now; but, I've "run out of room." I keep building them, and my wife keeps filling them.

Decent furniture for the price

This dresser is manufactured in Ohio by the Sauder Woodworking Company, which has excellent customer support. The finish is much darker than the photo on the website. Most of the pieces are made of particle board laminated with wood-grained plastic, while the front molding and drawer fronts and bottoms are MDF. The drawers move on the same metal slides you will find on more expensive solid wood dressers. All of the pre-drilled holes matched perfectly with the hardware supplied. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow for anybody who has used a hammer and a screwdriver before. Given the limitations of designing low cost furniture using the cheapest wood materials that anybody can assemble with a few basic tools and no glue, it's an engineering marvel. The problem is that MDF and laminated particle board panels are very fragile at the corners and edges. Between shipping, warehousing, delivery, and assembly, damage is not uncommon. Fortunately, you can order replacements for any damaged pieces directly from the Sauder website at no cost. In my case, each particle board side had one chipped corner, which I colored with a black sharpie and is unnoticeable in the final assembly. I also had a drawer front and back that had long cracks and were unusable. I ordered replacements from the website on Sat, which shipped on Mon and arrived on Tue. The final assembly looks surprisingly good. My advice: if you have the funds, spend three or four times as much on a solid wood dresser. With reasonable care it will last for a couple of generations. Particle board furniture held together with 10 cam bolts and no glue does not travel well, is not repairable, and will not last long if you move a lot. If, like me, solid wood is just not an option right now, this dresser is a good plan B.

The dresser was pretty easy to put together, and I love that the drawers lock. The only thing that was not what I expected is that the dresser was almost black, instead of the dark brown it looks like in the picture. Other than that it's an awesome dresser. The drawers are deep and pretty sturdy. Great for the kids rooms.

Very poorly made. I got halfway through putting it together and quit because it was so cheaply made. The dresser is very small and it is made mostly from pressed wood. Would not last at all! I returned it.

We bought this dresser today not realizing how long it would take me and my husband to put it together. Took us almost 2 hours! But it was worth it. It is a little darker than the picture but i love it because it matches our newborns crib. It has a very elegant look to it and stands taller than i thought it would. The drawers are very spacious and we are pleased with our purchase. You get what you pay for so i hope this will last us awhile.

just got the dresser today, holds alot of clothes, looks very fancy and is extremely sturdy. The color is darker than depicted but that worked out for me since that is what I was hoping for. The dresser looks very expensive, I give kudos to Mainstays since I'm usually leery of their stuff. One thing I got to say is when putting this baby together, read read read lol its easy to make a mistake. Also dedicate a few hours to putting it together, its a lengthy process. It WAS worth the time and effort to build it though, I love how it looks so very much as well as how sturdy it is. Also I saw other reviewers said it took forever to get this, Im not sure why because every time I use Site To Store it only takes about up to 5 days to get to me from the time I order it.

More than worth the $100 price! Well built and durable. Expensive look for great price. Bought two to stand side by side and loved them so much bought a third. All three stand side by side for large piece furniture look. People can't tell there is three separate pieces and can't believe I achieved this expensive look for so little. I read the other reviews for this product and they are right about the color, it is much darker than the picture shows. It is a very dark expresso, goes well with black or dark brown color theme. Does have child safety feature so only one drawer opens at a time, (preventing it from falling over and squishing a child) but if using for adult and this bothers you just don't put it on when you put it together.

I am a graduate student and I don't have a whole lot of money to spend furnishing my apartment, so I wanted something of high quality that was also affordable. This dresser is great. It looks great. It is sturdy and made from real wood --not the pre-fab cheap wood that you find with a lot of furniture at Walmart. It actually reminds me of the custom-designed furniture that my mother used to buy when I was growing up. My only problem was that it was a little difficult to assemble and I had to do it by myself; but the directions are very clear. I highly recommend it.

This product is made by Sauder out of Archbold, Ohio. Last time I put together a piece of Sauder furniture was 13 years ago, and it took me nearly an entire day. My teenage son and I put this together in about 2.5 hours, mostly due to my showing him how to put together the dresser. The dresser is well made and definitely a great purchase for the money. The previous experience I had came with all of the hardware mixed together which required sorting (13 years ago). This time, each piece of hardware came in its own section and was plainly marked. The directions were very easy to follow as well. Oddly enough, the dresser we put together today was the replacement for the one that I put together 13 years ago from the same manufacturer. This dresser is much better built, and I'd be happy if it only lasted as long as the last one, but it looks like it will be around even longer. Great value for the money. Highly recommended.

We bought this dresser for our daughter who is 15 months old. I like how if I keep the top drawer a little open the rest of the drawers are locked so she cant get into them. It was fairly easy to assemble took me about an hour and half by myself. It looks great, nice and clean looking. Havent had any problems with the drawers falling apart. After I got it all the way together it was very sturdy. Overall I like this dresser alot

I bought this dresser to be used everyday, and while it looked much nicer than the $100 Price tag, it isn't worth the engineered wood that it is made out of.
It was fairly easy to assemble, and the drawers worked well empty. When i started putting my clothes in it, they would get jammed, and would require some care to open them(usually). The last few times that i tried to open it, it would jammed and i would pull reasonably hard to open them. These times, the drawer physically pulled apart.
I returned it the next day and bought a different one.

This chest of drawers was relatively easy to put together and it is quite beautiful. The color would blend with either black or brown furniture. It is sturdy and very well priced. Ordering online and then picking it up at the the store works well and saves the cost of shipping. I am super pleased with this purchase and if, in the future, I need another chest, this will be the one. Thanks!
