Make a delicious breakfast at home with the Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids. Power and ready indicator lights notify you when the iron is on and hot enough to cook. A drip tray prevents countertop spills to catch overflow of excess batter and make clean-up easy. The browning control allows heating adjustment to cook waffles to your desired taste.

Works Great -- Easy to Use

My wife and I really enjoy this iron. It is easy to use and clean and makes waffles very quickly compared with our old one.
The only change I might make would be to add a bell to the ready light. But honestly, after initially setting the grids as instructed, we just set a 4 minute timer and check to see if they look golden. Often it's easy enough to tell just by looking to see if there's a ton of steam pouring out of it.
We have learned that the manual's instruction to pour the batter into the center evenly and let gravity work for a little while to flatten it out really does work best. Don't spread it around manually. Make sure to use enough batter to fill completely or the oven action of the larger air spaces (than a non-Belgian iron) will radically alter the browning of the edges from the centers.
In all it's a great appliance and does exactly what we want it to!

Review 2 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
So far so good! I have only used it once but the non-stick worked very well. Also, the grids remove for easy cleaning.....a big plus. The construction of the flipping mechanism seems a little looser than I expected but did not present a problem this first time. We'll see how it holds up over time. Right now, I am very pleased at the quality for the price!

Review 3 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
I bought this new waffle maker based on the reviews I read online. I just received it 5 days ago. I have made waffles twice now, and have had issues both times. First problem was the drip tray was not included. Guess they forgot to pack it in the box. Not a big deal as Walmart said to bring the appliance back, if I want to. The waffle iron is too small for the batter I used. Usually make a batch for two waffles with my other waffle maker and it worked fine. This one overflowed twice, and when I tried to use less batter, it was not filling up in all areas, and was too thin of a waffle. Had to leave it in longer, and noticed one side burned both times. I determined it cooked uneven on two separate occassions. I make the decision to return the waffle iron next week and order another Presto Belgian Waflle Maker, from Walmart.com. It is so much easier to use, plus makes thicker/larger waffles, and never a problem with overflow.

Review 5 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
Very happy with product, for the most part. Only negative for me is, even with following instructions & using vegetable oil (have tried PAM spray, also) sometimes the waffle wants to stick pretty good. But I love the ease of use and the easy clean up the removeable grids provide.

This waffle maker is easy to use. My kids wanted a waffle maker similar to the ones hotels have. We bought this one and they use it frequently. It's easy to use and easier to clean up.

Review 10 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
I have nothing to compare it too because I have never had a waffle iron but it works perfectly fine. I own a sporting camp business and I cook at times for a lot of people. I wanted to try it first and will be getting 2 more and will probably get the same one. No complaints.

Review 11 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
Works very well. Purchased this one for the removal plates to go into dishwasher, would be difficulty to clean otherwise. Waffles release easily and you can regulate the crispiness and color. Overall a good purchase.

Review 14 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
My quest for the perfect waffle iron is finally over! I've been searching for removable grids for easy cleaning for a long while and this is the one. Makes delicious waffles that don't stick, perfect every time with 1 cup of batter. You only add a little oil on the grids for the first time you use it, seasoning them. I never added any spray oil or liquid oil since on the non-stick surface, even after running the grids through the dishwasher. Lights work great to let you know when it's hot enough to add the batter, flip it, and when ready the other light comes on. Makes them fast and easy for many waffles one after the other for a large family or gathering. The drip tray is great for when you add a little too much batter, and it cleans up with ease. I also like the folding handle for storage in my kitchen cabinet. I've used a recipe for whole wheat waffles, and I've also bought the boxed whole grain waffle mix. Both turned out delicious, so you can't go wrong. The instruction manual doesn't come with any recipes, so have one ready before you pick up your new waffle iron. One last thing, I really like how you can select how dark/crispy you want your waffle, comes in really handy for all the different preferences/requests. I love my Hamilton Beach waffle iron!

Review 20 for Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker with Removable Grids
This product is a great compromise between economy and performance. A commercial waffle iron cost up to 200 bucks, but this little thing makes your waffles just as well as any more expensive alternative for a fraction of the cost. It takes about 3 minutes to get a great crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside waffle. I'm very pleased.
