The 3.5-inch sunlight-readable display indicates accurate readings of the depth, water speed, and water temperature. You can easily see through the water and track fish with the help of the Garmin HD-ID target-tracking technology. It features a 300-watt (RMS) sounder which enables you to view at an angle of 120 degrees and can reach a distance of 600-feet in saltwater and 1500-feet in freshwater. It also includes a tilt and swivel mount, transducer, trolling motor clamp, and transom mount. The installation of this waterproof Fishfinder is very easy, and information can be displayed in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

WHO WOULDN'T LIKE TO SEE IF THERE ARE FISH UNDER WATER , WHAT ABOUT KNOWING THE DEPTH. THERE ARE GOOD AND BAD THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU CAN'T SEE UNDER WATER AND THAT'S WHEN A GOOD FISH FINDER COMES INTO PLACE.
COMPARING FROM THE OLDER MODEL 300C THIS GARMIN 300C ECHO IS MORE SHARPER ,LESS BUTTONS,QUICK ON AND OFF FOR STORAGE AND VERY ACCURATE.
I LUV THE COLOR SCREEN NOT TO MENTION THE NIGHT VISION OR DAY SETTING MODE WHAT A GREAT UNIT YOU CAN'T GO WRONG FOR YOUR FIRST FISH FINDER.
IF YOU RENT SKIFFS THIS WOULD BE A GREAT MOBILE FF.

The features are easy to use and sonar options were easy to find. Install took a couple of minutes and we are able to remove the unit easily and lock it up when we want.

This is my second Garmin echo fishfinder and very pleased with it. Easy installation, easy to setup and use. The quality of the screen is excellent, even in direct sunlight and easy to read. It's very simple to distinguish between creek channels, huge rocks, trees and stumps on the lake floor. Fish are easy to see at any depth and around any cover. Reads perfect at 50+ mph in my boat when covering open water. I had limited space on my console and this small unit was perfect. I highly recommend this unit when space is an issue and the price is right for a color fishfinder.
