My sister was coming to visit and I purchased this TV for the guest room. The size was appropriate for the room. I bought a black cabinet table from Walmart and put the TV on it. It was perfect. It would be too small for the living room, but perfect for a guest room. The price was excellent. The picture is just average, but it's for the guest room and won't be used by our household. It cost an additional $2.00 per month for the cable adapter from Comcast. Believe it or not, we were able to install the adapter without having to speak to someone in India. I would highly recommend this TV for guest room, childrens' room, or kitchen.

On the plus side, it has a great picture and clear sound. And at the time the price of $199 was very good for a 24" picture size with 1080p.
On the negative side there's a long delay before it's possible to change channels, so channel surfing is sloooow. The remote control is quite poor, with tiny tiny buttons I can't read without reading glasses -- buttons that have to be pressed very firmly and sometimes have to be pressed twice before they work. Often the Recall Button won't take you back to the previous channel. And the on-screen info is so small it's impossible for me to read from more than 6 feet away.

This is a great tv. It's a perfect size and the picture is very clear and bright. It has great sound. The only downfall is there is no resume option with the dvd player but compared to all the features and the product performance it's a great deal!

Super easy setup and light weight

The television set up was extremely easy; basically, just plug in and you're ready to go. The picture quality and sound are excellent. My only minor negative was the DVD player, which is located on the left side behind the screen. The problem was more a lack of my technical knowledge; however, I thought the directions could have been a little clearer. I expected a tray to eject and take my disc, the same as my computer. It actually works like a DVD player in your car, just slide the disc in. Once I figured that out, it was a piece-of-cake. I would highly recommend this combo unit, not only for the quality, but because it's light weight. As an older person, I can easily move the television to dust, clean, and change locations if desired.

I just needed a small, inexpensive television for our guest bedroom, and the TV/DVD combo takes up the least amount of room. I play my workout DVD's and my Wii gaming system on this particular TV. For the amount it was, the size and picture quality are actually pretty good. Because I didn't need anything fancy, I am completely happy with this purchase. I was a little nervous to have it shipped to my home, but it was really worth it; it showed up in great condition and on time!!

Flaws in Design, No Customer Service!

Bought this TV for my bedroom late-night watching, kept it about 2 weeks then returned it. What you can't find out about it before using it: Channnel number display in upper right corner of screen is very tiny so that it's almost impossible to see across a small room. Screen flashes totally white when flipping between channels - hurt my eyes in a dark room. Remote has tiny unlit buttons and is awkward to use. Sound when placed in my bedroom armoire was not adequate - had to turn up and was disturbing to hubby who is trying to sleep next to you. DVD player inserts disc on left side of unit and there were no directions on how to start the player. Ended up hitting upon the input selection by accident and the dvd started.
And worst of all - called product support, waited online for 40 minutes, then they cut me off saying to leave a message and they would call me back. Never did hear from them. I guess you get what you pay for - or less!

Suitable TV for sailboat

We wanted a TV for a boat so we were looking for something energy efficient, with built-in DVD player and not too large. This one fit the bill. We've only used it twice and were pleased with its functionality. We could see and hear it with no problem with the volume less than 1/3 of the way up. Can't judge durability since we've not had it long enough, but we'll be happy if it just keeps working for 4-5 years. It must be hooked up to a suitable antenna to get the over the air digital channels, which we have not done.

What you have to remember this is a 24 inch LCD- DVD combo for $200. The picture quality is very good for a $200 flat screen. No it will not compare with my $600 Samsung. The sound quality is also very good but I gave it an excellent because of the high volume. Most LCD tvs of this price have very little volume. This tv has more than enough volume for a large bedroom. The DVD player works well so far with bought and home recorded DVDs. Again, this is a $200 LCD-DVD combo, you are not going to get "upscaling" at this price. That said, you do get a decent quality picture from the DVD player.You can not beat the price for what you get on this tv.

Overall this TV is pretty good. This is a Samsung product and if you're having trouble hooking up the VOLUME and CHANNEL buttons for a COMCAST remote the code is 10812. I have a 42" Panasonic Viera Plasma for the living room and this 24" LCD for the bedroom. I wasn't looking to buy a top brand name for the bedroom but I found this which had a DVD player on the side and it was a good price. The quality seems pretty good and it is going to be watched from a distance anyways because it is in the bedroom. The volume when playing DVDs was not working at first but then I tried it a second time and it was working. The FONT for Volume and Channel numbers are quite small but that shouldn't matter because you're watching Cable or Satellite anyways with their channel fonts. Again, this is a good product for a good price and I have no problems so far.
