Good customer response and service. Inside plastic carousel part arrived broken; called Nostalgia customer service and they sent a replacement; new part arrived in one week and it was broken too; so another one (3rd's time the charm) is on it's way!

my micro went out so i started looking,.. this thing caught my eye,.. it is sharp. and i like the dial makes it very easy to use.. i am in my mid 40s now and having to put glasses on to start a microwave was a pain,.. it is a bit high priced compared to other units, with more wattage,. but i like it better than 1000 watt that quit,.. and it's something everyone else does not have....

This product looks really nice, and the dial feature is pretty awesome. that's the up side. the down side, is that it takes a lot longer to cook things than a normal microwave, even popcorn needs at least 30 more seconds. Also, we've had this for over a week, and there is still a "smell" to it every time its run; like that "new-out-of-the-box" smell and it is REALLY strong. I hope it goes away soon because it's ruining the appetite.

Like everybody else, I chose this microwave because of it's appearance, which I love. I also love the dial feature as opposed to the pushbuttons other microwaves have. I didn't think I'd prefer the door handle to the button on other models which opens the door, but it turns out I do. Unlike what other some reviewers have experienced, I've found this microwave to be no louder than any other I've had, nor does it move on my countertop when I open the door. I also don't mind the three beeps that signal the end of the cooking cycle, or the fact that the light does not come on when the door is opened. (My kitchen is equipped with a light, so even at night, I have no problem seeing the food when I reach for it.) If there's one caveat I'd give to potential buyers, it's that the interior is small compared to standard sized microwaves. My last microwave had the same exterior dimensions but had a 12" turntable. This turntable is much smaller, and I've found that when microwaving a bag of popcorn, it's very important to center the bag perfectly, or as it expands, one side of the bag will come in contact with the wall of the microwave causing it not to turn on the turntable. That said, I'm hoping this microwave will stand the test of time. At $79, it seemed like a bargain. I purchase the Walmart two year protection plan for peace of mind, because of reviewers who experienced the microwave dying after a month or two. So far, I give this item two thumbs up.

The only downside I have found is the unit is noisy. I love the feature of it beeping when an item is left in the microwave. I no longer forget my coffee! It has many features that I haven't even used yet. Mostly, it is very complimentary with my kitchen.

This microwave is spacious and fun to use. The control dial is sweet. Fun to control items being warmed/cooked. It cooks fresh fish perfect as well as warms leftovers wonderfully, frozen foods cook well also. I use this appliance in a loft where no stove is available so I depend on this appliance to cooking and warming totally. This item is a perfect addition to the other collection of Retro appliances. I chose black for the microwave to red to mix and match the RETRO style with refrigerator & toaster/coffee maker & griddle appliance. The lighting inside the microwave is perfect while in use rather than when door is opened.

Great looking retro microwave! Not as easy to use as today's conventional microwaves because you' re using a dail to input your choices. Biggest problem for me is that the COLOR RED of the Nostalgia Electrics Retro Microwave does NOT match the COLOR RED of the Nostalgia Electrics Retro Refrigerator. The microwave is actually BURGANDY. I really wanted to use them side by side but the two different colors look AWFUL together.

Perfect size and 'look' for my 'retro' travel trailer. Used it only a few times but so far so good. Can't comment on durability. Digital controls very easy to use. Carousel is a little flimsy but no deal breaker. Best use is for warming leftovers, tea, hot coca etc. If you don't need a ton of power or room, this micro is bound to put a smile on your face! Who ever designed this should get an award.

This microwave is even better than I expected. Don't get thrown off by the dial, it is convenient and easy to use. Looks great in our vintage diner kitchen. May be a touch louder than our last microwave but that doesn't bothers us and no I didn't think the beeping was loud as mentioned by another reviewer. Really there is not a better looking microwave out there that I could find and you definitely can't beat this price. Was also impressed with the metal exterior. Also has a rotating carousel tray. Works great on everything we used it for. Mostly tea and microwave meals.
