Dificulty in getting the answering machine to stay

Had trouble getting the answering machine message to stay active. Called AT&T customer service and talked with the rep. for about 30 min. She could not solve the problem, she said we had a defective phone ...return it to Walmart. We tried to connect the message the next day, it held for several callc. We actually had our son call us multiple times with no luck.

Very easy set up, very good clearity, and both hand sets work the same. I was a bit leary of this phone because of mixed reviews, but I remember when AT&T phones first came out, never had a problem with them in the past. I have recomended this phone to my best friend of 32yrs. We talk daily!

Have had this phone for about 2 weeks. Fairly easy to program. The sound is good. Can't beat it for price 2 phones for 40.00. Holds the charge well. Light on face bright enough to read but not to intense.

We thought it was time for a new phone and needed two actually. This fit the purpose. I like that you can listen to the messages on either handset. If a message comes through downstairs, I can listen to it upstairs. I don't have to go back to the base to find out the message. We haven't tried the intercom feature yet.

My 4 handset phone slowly died from 3 sets to 2, then 1 and finally none. Since kids are grown up and 1 off and married, we only needed a two handset this time around. I searched many of places and found this one to be best price and had the features I wanted in a two handset phone. I figured with it being AT&T brand I could not go wrong. Phones are lightweight but good solid sound and buttons are lighted, large, and easy to follow. It does have caller id screen, speed dial, a phone directory to save phone numbers that store right into phone, intercom from one phone to the other, you can listen to voice message from the handsets or the base, and lots of ringtones to choose from. I recommend this phone set if your looking for a simple easy to use phone to have at home.

I have always thought A,T & T has good/high quality. Unfortunately did not get that experience from this phone. My old Uniden provided better sound quality, was looking to upgrade, but it didn't happen. Will be returning it.

I had an at&t phone before and liked it. This phone had good reviews so I went with it. I haven't had it but a week so I don't know long term....but phone works well for me. Worth the money! Only thing about it that really doesn't matter but you should know. You can change the ringers on each handset...they both can be different. I wanted a ringer that was different and more quiet so it wouldn't wake my baby. Well the handsets have the ringer set BUT the one major base still rings like a house phone. NOT a big deal at all...just weird that the handset ringers would change but the base still rings. But phone is good and worth every penny.

Very good product, and excellent price. Have had it less than a week but so far so good. It is very light weight and smaller than my last one. The only thing I would change is to have a little louder ring. It is turned up as high as possible and still it is rather quiet, especially when TV is on or any background sounds. My last phone was much more distinct. This one does have several choices of rings but none are very loud. It is not, however, worth lowering my rating. Maybe it is just something I need to adjust to. I would recommend it... My rating is 5 stars to this point..
