After struggling through the initial setup, the unit has performed flawlessly. The only problem I had, was trying to understand the instruction booklet which explains it's various functions, It almost seems like it was written for another unit. Other than that, I am very satisfied with my purchase. The free shipping for pickup at the nearest Walmart store is a big plus, as is being able to make a return at the store in case the product isn't satisfactory.

I thought that the look of the product would look similar to the one above but it did not. I liked the background of the picture provided and you cannot change the background to match. It is good to play music though I have put over 700 songs on it and noticed that it can slow down when you want to look at the song that you are listening to from the main screen. I like that if the screen blacks you can touch the screen to wake it back up. This is a good product over all but a little misleading

This little player has surprised me as very easy to handle sources from the beginning and does everything it offers, is also very affordable and has a very durable load, I could upload photos, videos and music and now I will proceed to load books. I think it was very good investment for so little money and the service is impeccable walmart.

I do not recommend this product in fact I returned it. Nice price but too difficult to use. The screen was big enough but the pictures and directions were too small for my fingers. Which is weird since I have small hands. Too hard to read.

DO NOT BUY! i wasted my money on it. if you try to download music on it, the files will come up, but will not play the music. It is extremely difficult to press the buttons, its barely touch screen. This is a WASTE OF MONEY. I wish i had never bought it. as soon as i bought it, i regretted it. touch screen does not always mean better. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Overall it's a decent MP3 / MP4 Player. It plays everything clear and with good volume. The picture is above average.
The problem is the battery doesn't last very long about 4 hrs On Mp3s. You can not have it charging and listen at the same time. The unit only likes to be charged on a computer but will charge with a USB plug in system it just will lock up sometimes. You also get a folder in every sub-system IE: music , pictures and videos for every thing you load on it. Every album will have a folder in every system. This makes it harder to find your pics if you have 20 albums loaded.
Over all I would not buy this again and would spend a little more for a better system.

I bought one of these for myself, 17, and my little brother, 10. We love them! People complain about not being able to do things but it's really not that hard if you are any bit intelligent and tech savvy.http://www.curtisint.com/html/CustService/Manuals/SYL_SMPK4230_EN.PDF is the link for the online manual if there are any issues. It's really nice for all the features. So what if the menu screen looks different from the picture, you can change the background! Also the touch screen is not like an ipod, yes you have to use either a stylus or your nail but it's like $30! Video quality is great as well as picture. Ebooks read very well and music sound thru headphones is great.

It meets my expectation of listening mainly to audio when driving or exercising. It is small, great sound and easy to charge. Only drawback is the menu as it keeps going back to the beginning as well as it does not stay lighted unless you are doing something with the buttons. Great service and price at Walmart.

This product is cheap which is a major plus, but the thing about it is that the touch screen has trouble getting the clicks through sometimes and when it does and takes an obnoxious time to load and it gets frustrating. But for the price its a good MP4 player that gets the job done.

My 5 year old has a laptop that she uses to play online games, to watch movies, and to do photo editing. I recently bought a new car, and didn't get it with the built in DVD because the ceiling mount would have blocked my rear view. I didn't want her to use her laptop in the car - because I've seen what they do if you get int an accident. So I was looking for a low level tablet for her to watch videos on in the car. I was going to spend about $100 on a 7 inch 4GB model - when I came across these. I was able to get 2 of these for $70 - and I'm really glad I did. We take long weekend trips across Texas - and we can charge one while she uses the other. If we take a friend - then they can both watch different ones or watch the same one (they have 2 headphone jacks each). I ripped all of her CD's for her, and about 25 DVD movies - and was able to fit them all onto the 2 players (half on each). She loves them and likes that they are small enough to pocket them. They don't have WiFi or 3G or anything other than their USB - and you have to convert DVD's to MP4's to watch them (drop the resolution to 480) - but they play the movies and music really well. I would give them 5 stars - except the interface is silly. It's like having 5 ways to get to the same thing (choosing photos shows photos, music, videos... - choosing music takes you to the same place...). The batteries last over 2 hours when watching videos. We wish they lasted longer - but then they would have to be bigger. They aren't quite a tablet - but they are really cool.
