VTech Vtech CS6429-4 4 Handset Answering System With Caller ID
The portable VTech CS6429-4 4 Handset Answering System with Caller ID consists of four cordless handsets for better coverage. A frequency band has been included for improved range. The built-in digital answering system accepts incoming calls when you are unavailable and delivers the message later. The integrated DECT 6 .0 technology provides enhanced voice clarity free of any interference. The VTech digital answering system also features call waiting and caller ID facilities. So you can keep track of your callers even when you are busy with another call. The answering system can be expanded up to 5 handsets, and this feature along with Intercom facility makes it ideal for home as well as for office use.

Getting 4 phones at this price is a GREAT value. Setting features is a bit confusing and recording my own "not available" message proved impossible. There is a simple pre-installed message that works just fine. Answering machine works fine as well as the feature to call when away from home and get any messages you have received.

We have bought this brand, phone set for the third time. That should speak for itself, but I want everyone to know that it is a bargain that will not let you down. We have a phone in our living room, dining room, bedroom and bathroom. If there was another one we would have one in our garage, but they can be moved so easily that we move them around all the time. We use them as an intercom all the time. I recommend this product, HIGHLY.

Haven't used the phones long enough to evaluate their durability nor longevity, but installation was a snap and they functioned as anticipated. Only thing I don't like is the wall mount. It is clunky and exposes too much of the support plate to be cosmetically acceptable

We love it! Lightning hit the phone jack in our bedroom, so we were faced with costly repairs, or replacing the phone with this type phone... we chose this phone after a little research. We now have phones in three rooms that have no phone jack, and we get great reception. I would recommend this phone highly!

I am hearing impaired and these phones allow me to have them in several locations with only one telephone outlet and also to set the ring tone so that I can hear them. You can listen to messages on any of the handsets and the directory is available on all handsets. It would be helpful to have a longer telephone cord for the base.

Great way to have phone every where you need one, without running lines all over the house.
The phone also has a couple of features I didn't know about. The redial holds 10 dialed calls on each phone. It has intercom so if my husband is out in the garage I can let him know I need him. Also I like having 50 names available on the ID. So far seem like a great phone @ reasonable price.

I love these phones! Last year I purchased a similar set by another manufacturer and after returning them three times I gave up. With four handsets only the one on the base unit worked, none of the others would "communicate" with the base. This set worked perfectly out of the box, the set-up was simple and easy, and the sound is great.

1. Lets just say your hands r full, u have the phone under your chin...oops I hung up oops.
2. You want to redial. I get the dial tone hit redial and nothing. So i have to hit redial without a dial tone. nope that does not work either...Hit and Miss
3. I typed in phone number incorrectly. You have to delete the numbers one by one, or you have to hang up and start again. The delete will only do one number at a time.
4. Very slim phone, so if you have arthritic hands or bigger hands, hard to hold.

I have not quite worked out all the bugs, to fully understand how this phone works instructions or not it is confusing. The good note is great speaker and ........... price for a set of 4 as i always misplace them. The intercom system is fantastic, guess that would be another good note :) It was not worth it for me to send it back, as I still have not located my other lost phones as the battery on them has long since died.
