Was happy with Walmart and the item, but not FedEx. The box arrived broken and scratches on the bottom of the trunk. If the top or sides were scratched I would have returned item.

Bought trunk as part of a bundle. It was damaged after delivered to store so I had to return it. But it costs twice as much for a replacement. The trunk was the only reason I purchased a bundle in the first place. I can buy dorm bedding and towels any where. Very poor experience.

I loved the polished chrome fixtures, this trunk looks so much nicer than ones from years ago in my youth. For collector of nice trunks I'd recommend you purchase 1 or 2 now while these are available.

I purchased one of these to store and carry some of the props for my magic show. The first one I purchased is 8 years old and has been VERY used. The handle finally broke this past year. But I've found this case to be well worth the money. From the outside, the trunk looks great. I must admit that the materials used in its construction are not the greatest quality. The vinyl coating is pretty thin, and the case is held together with a sort of small, staple-rivet. It looks like it would fall apart fairly easy. But it stood up well. Unless you use it infrequently, don't expect the wheels to last very long though. Mine wore out in less than a year -- but I actually used it.
However, these only get loaded in and out of an SUV. I'm somewhat careful about how I handle them. I certainly wouldn't put it through an airport luggage system. Though it might make the trip OK-- you never know.
I now own four of these trunks -- each for a specific purpose.

My son wanted this for collage. So like a good parent I researched a lot of different (Higher Cost) before my son said just buy the cheap one. I figured it would get him through the rest of the year. Well we were very surprised when we received the unit. It is tough enough to last. You can even sit on it without thinking this think is going to collapse! He will have it for a long time!

The trunk looks nice, but is poorly built. The wood is extremely flimsy, more like cardboard than wood. The rivets that hold the metal parts in place were punched through, and left holes inside, complete with torn material pieces that weren't cleaned up. I realize I wasn't going to get anything top notch for $50, but cardboard should definitely not cost $50.

The trunk was perfect and just the thing to keep a boys treasures in. It was easy to purchase via web site it arrived quickly and we had no problem picking it up.
