Review 1 for Keystone 70-Pint Electric Dehumidifier KSTAD70A
In central Texas, the humidity is high. The first two days, water had to be emptied twice. After the first two days, the amount collected was very little, even though the setting was at 55% humidity. I'm disappointed.

Only had unit for two weeks, seams to work good. When I first turned unit on, it collected one gallon of moisture in about two hours. After I was sure unit was working I hooked up drain hose.

Review 3 for Keystone 70-Pint Electric Dehumidifier KSTAD70A
I bought this dehumidifier for my basement and it removes a lot of water. It is a basic 2 speed with no fancy features, although it does cycle up to the higher speed from time to time on its own. I operate it with a continuous drain connection to my sump pump. You install the connection yourself, which is fairly easy to do, and connect it to a garden hose. The connection piece is provided, but not the garden hose. I would not classify it as noisy, but it isn't real quiet either.

We could have paid more for a larger unit, but went with this recommended size of room, ours is 24'x24' It's perfect and doesn't run all the time. Our family room is underground is currently being protected by the Keystone 70.

I received this unit. Turned on ...seemed good. Removed tank after a few hours to check water collected. Then noticed 4 stress cracks in unit's plastic structure...directly in back of where the tank rests. If you have one of these. It's an area I'd call the bullseye or circle cast into the plastic. I can only guess it's an area where on the other side, the heavy components are mounted. And something not mounted correctly. This is all less than one day after receiving delivery. Note: the packaging was not damaged. Weak design or junk plastic here that maybe could not handle normal transport. UGH! You get what you pay for...cheap plastic. Others may have this issue and not know it. Unit was returned for refund.

Two weeks into operation and the machine is fine. I looked at the compressor to see if was a LG. The last 2 LG units leaked gas and the units where trash. I would have given this 5 stars but it had plastic housing.

Review 9 for Keystone 70-Pint Electric Dehumidifier KSTAD70A
Had product for a couple of weeks now...seems like it is "doing it's job"... Quiet running... The only "fault" I can find with it is... where the controls are... they are on the top instead of on the front... which is inconvenient for me due to how I have to have it setting to be able to use the hose drain instead of the "bucket"... I have to have it sitting high up off the floor so it can drain out of the hose...therefore I need a ladder to get up to see and/or adjust the settings... Other than that... I am very pleased with the product...

Review 10 for Keystone 70-Pint Electric Dehumidifier KSTAD70A
This dehumidifier works well about 80% of the time. The rest of the time it starts vibrating and becomes very noisy. I have tried to change the position of the unit to no avail. When I press on the top while it is vibrating the noise seems to lessen but resumes as soon as I stop. There seems to be a fault in the mounting of the compressor. The water container is difficult to empty. The slots to pull it out are located on the sides. You have to use both hands to pull it out evenly so it does not bind. It is heavy and does not slide easily when it is full. The unit is on casters so you need another pair of hands to hold it while you pull the container out. I don't have those available so I put my head on the front of the unit while I pull the container out. Another problem is that the bottom of the container is not flat so you have to hold it if you deposit on the counter or it will tip over. I think the container weights more than ten pounds when full so it might be difficult for a smaller person to empty the water. Conclusion: The vibration noise may be present only in this particular unit or it may go away after a longer period of use but the difficulty in emptying the water is a design problem. Other than that the unit function well.

I purchased this unit in late February of 2012. By the end of summer, it was no longer dehumidifying, and the ice was built up so badly inside that I could not remove the water bin. I took it in for service and was told that it was unrepairable. I am currently awaiting a refund from the manufacturer and I cannot recommend this unit.

This unit worked for about 6 months and failed. Now when you turn it on, it runs continuously and completely freezes up, so badly that the filter cannot be removed without unplugging it an thawing it out. When it is frozen up, it does not regulate humidity. Don't waste your time on this product, unless you want a solution for less than 6 months that will become a boat anchor after that time.

Can't get operating information - Jury still out.

I started the system day after purchase and it ran satisfactorily for 2 days. Relocated it to a second house (the primary reason for the purchase) and it would run for 30 minutes in dehumidification mode then switch to defrost for 15 minutes (continually).
Tried to contact someone for technical help to see if this was a normal operation (for the conditions) and never could get any response. Thought was it could be due to lower operating temperature as the second location,
Therefore - the jury is still out on the unit as I had planned to return it (since i did not want it if it was not operating correctly). Still evaluating and may yet return unless i can get manufactruer feedback.

Works great in my cellar to pull out the moisture. The clear hose that came with this unit is about 3/4 inch too long and the hose adapter will not mount to the back of the cabinet, as intended. The two screws that were furnished to mount the hose adapter were found loose in the shipping box. Once installed and set up, works perfectly. The "remember the settings" and "auto restart" after a power failure are a great feature. I would purchase the extended warranty coverage, if you intend to us this full time, as the bower motors usually will develop a problem over time.

good unit if you don't need the automatic drain

The automatic drain is poorly designed - the plastic fastener that attaches to the exterior where the hose is attached to drain the unit doesn't fit snug. when the hose is attached the plastic slips away from the unit causing the automatic drainage to malfunction. If you don't want the automatic drain this is a great unit. Its very quiet and does a good job removing moisture. But if you want something that drains automatically check out some other units.

Works fine. Does what it supposed to do, dehumidify. It is also relatively quiet. Note: that to use the continuous drain feature the dehumidifier must be level. I don't see why dehumidifiers don't come with leveling screws, as many if not most dehumidifiers are used in basements which are notoriously uneven. I used some wood stripping on one end to level it.

We have this unit for over two weeks and it is really helping with the heavy humidity that the midwest is experiencing. It really collects and can be a bit heavy to lift to dump but that is okay as long as it is doing its job. I thought price was a bit much but the lowest for the pint price.

This unit quickly pulled the moister out of my basment. I was initially worried that it would be running all the time, but it does shut itself off when the humidity decreasesed to the setting. Only had it running for a few hours before the bucket was 1/4 of the way full. I attached a hose to the back, so I don't have to keep emptying the bucker. I'm having gotten an electric bill since using the unit, so I hope it does't increase the amount too much. Our eletric company offered a 10 dollar rebate for the unit since it is an energy star. Check with you electric company to see what they are offering.

Easy to use. Can attach garden hose if wanted. Only problem I have is that I cannot register it. The card keeps coming back.
