These cables are extremely functional for a very low price. The price, by the way, is way lower than i found on vga cables in my local Walmart. I had the cables shipped here for store pickup. Very convenient; i paid tax instead of shipping, so for something this low priced it came out to a much lower cost. There are no ferrite cores (the thick cylinders found on the end of some cables) and the cable's very thin - it probably has less shielding inside - but that just makes it easier to route from the monitor to the cpu, and i'm not noticing any problem in my house from this lack. Recommended.

Great alternative to HDMI

For some reason my new Compaq laptop did not come with the HDMI port. (It's a very inexpensive model.) This budget priced VGA cable still allows me to connect the laptop to a big screen HD TV and I watch Netflix selections. Good economical alternative to the overpriced HDMI cables.

It seems the cable does not support resolution larger than 1280*768. If you are buying a cable to connect your 1080P HDTV to your computer, skip this one.
