We love iced tea, and this pitcher is PERFECT for the job. The one gallon size holds quite a bit of tea, which is about how much tea my family will drink on a hot summer day. I was initially concerned about the lid staying on, but it stays on very nicely. It's not completely water (tea) tight, but I can usually give it a nice circular shake if I want to stir my tea a bit. The lid comes off easily if you turn it 90 degrees, and is well-designed. I am able to pour hot water into it to brew tea, then add ice, with no ill effects. Overall, an excellent product.

I bought it in store for about $5 and have no complaints. It is not something I would use for a fancy dinner party, but it is great for a casual summer party with the family. The lid and pitcher are made of good quality plastic and great for my iced green tea. My mother has two one-gallon Tupperware pitchers, but for the cost, I like my Rubbermaid pitcher better.

Great pitcher. Good price. I make ice tea and the plastic resists boiling water. I quickly put hot water then cold water and it holds up well.
