Willl never buy another Sanyo product

Purchased this TV for $388 plus tax on 4/22/12. On 5/17/13 tv shut off by its self while we were watching it & as of today will not power on. We have tried everything including unplugging/plugging back in & trying different outlets, still no power. Called Sanyo & talked to very rude customer service rep & was given number of repair shop in my city but was told since the 1 year warranty was up we would be responsible for paying repair bill out of our pocket. The warranty was only up 2 weeks ago before TV quit working. Of course we didn't purchase extended warranty that Walmart offered because we thought we would get many years out of the TV. So now we are without almost $400 & left with a junk TV sitting in our living room. Will NEVER buy a Sanyo product again & I suggest that everyone else does NOT buy Sanyo either!

this is the 2nd second time the power knocked out a sanyo tv for me. even though the tv was plugged into a surge protector......this brand is way toooo sensitive to this

We purchased a Sanyo 42" 3 years ago and bought the extended warranty, in November of 2012 we turned on the tv the screen was half black we called customer service and told them our problem they gave another number to call for technical issues. Big mistake they had no clue what we were talking about even though I sent pictures. I also sent all the warranty information, the tv information and all seriel numbers. This has been going on since November 2012 they are not honering the warranty nor are they going to reimburse us for the TV we can't use. The customer service is terrible they need to take classes on how to deal with customers and their products. We had it appraised at a tv repair shop it was going to cost $500.00 for a $350.00 tv.

I was amazed at the fast shippement, I receved my new Sanyo, in less than 24 HOURS! after ordering it on line.....Outstanding to say the least! Ipaid the extra $19.97 for shippement, right to my door!
I have always bought Sanyo TV's in the past. . I had an old (Sanyo)analog (beast) It was time to upgrade and treat myself, This amzing new Sanyo 42 inch??? I just love it, great quality! Great picture. My best friend bought the same TV 2 weels before I bought mine, we are both seniors, I helped her carry hers home from her walmart in Raymond,NH..and I also set it up for her. Seeing the quality and beauty of this Sanyo, I just had to have one...Iam so Happy I did! Thank You Walmart! for such a great price!!!

I bought this TV for my hearth room. It was the perfect fit for my TV nook. For the price, the picture was pretty good. The issue was with the sound. On some shows it sounded like the speaker was busted. Needless to say, I had to return it to the store.

We have had this TV for 3 months, So far it is great, The picture is bright and easy to see from any part of our room. The sound is good, We rarely turn it up beyond 14. Set up was a snap, All functions are easy to understand and utilize. We are very happy with our purchase. I did purchase the 4 year warranty Just in case. I would recommend it, Great TV for the price.

We bought this TV to replace one of the same brand/model we had bought about 3 years ago. That one died off right as the extended warrant was expired, wouldn't you know. (It started making a buzzing sound when you turned it on that sounded almost like it was warming up. Then one day it just didn't turn on anymore) That TV was great for our needs and it was used a lot. This one has a lot more features but the picture seems darker than the other despite trying to adjust it manually. The sound is ok but if the volume is up high sometimes certain tones make the speakers sound like they are vibrating. One feature I really like is that you can hook the TV up to your computer via a PC input cable and that you can keep it plugged in and still use all the other components whereas with the older model we had to keep unplugging the computer input to get all the other components to be able to work. Also this newer model lets you plug your camera directly into it to view pictures and that's pretty handy if you don't feel like downloading the pics to your computer first to view them. A nice time saver. Overall it's a good buy for the money.

Finally made the leap from SD to HD with this t.v. I loved it, it was a good tv, great picture, a few issues with sound randomly peaking or hushing but figured that out.
My only problem is, it lasted 10 months. In a smoke free. mostly dust free, friendly enviroment, 10 months.
I paid 388 for it, so I guess that only relates to 40.00 a month, ish, and over all I got a lot of bang for my buck out of it,

Anyone considering this t.v, please, please do yourself a favor, dont save 50 bucks just to have a broken heart shortly after, compare the close close in range, and maybe pick a different one, just maybe.
