Same day pick up was great. I didn't have to hunt for what I wanted. I don't know how well the recorder works yet. I can let you know when I come back from Waverly Hills Sanitorium and listen for bumps and voices.

This recorder was smaller than I initially had an idea of size. I am used to more clunky sizes and this almost fits in the palm of my hand. This was a gift to my daughter so that she and her daughter could practice reading and listening to each other. So far it is working out great. My daughter is starting her college career in a few months so we have to see how this performs recording lectures and any study group sessions that are necessary.
We didn't give it five stars because my daughter just started using it so we have to wait and see how the lecture recording goes. Also, my Walmart didn't give a premium packaged product. When I got it, the packaging was dinged and dented. The recorder appeared perfectly okay but when I give a gift that has some scrunched packaging, I get nervous about the whole affair.

This voice recorder is really good. I bought it for my wife to record class lectures and she is really happy about it. She says it is very easy to use and the the audio is crystal clear. It works as good as the expensive ones. Thank you Sony and Walmart !

My Son Bought this Recorder for me for my Birthday on 10/22/2012 and this Recorder is GREAT it's easy to use the play back sound is great. I've been wanting one for years just never got one. I use it all the time every day. The Mic. picks up stuff you can't hardly hear but when you play it back you can hear the sound pretty good. I like it because it also has a USB on it and you can upload your recordings to your computer. I also like the software program that comes with it I have loaded 8 CDs on my recorder so far it makes a GREAT MP3 Player.

This is a great little gadget! Easy to upload what has been recorded, the on/off button has a delay so you cannot accidentally shut it off if it is in a pocket. Lots of storage, uses very little power. Worthwhile purchase. I always buy Sony, and am never disappointed.

I use this recorder for transcribing at one of it's slower sampling speeds and it's audio quality through headphones is still excellent. It's built-in microphone works better than I expected when recording meetings. It is somewhat directional so I stand this recorder vertically when doing this.

I have this great Sony IC recorder and I fully use it in my radio broadcasting job. The MP 3 Hd is the best I have ever heard ,and I love the fact that I can download the mp3 to my computer to edit the files. You can also download mp3 files back to the recorder after you edit them. It is used for radio production and sounds great on the air . I also use it for radio interviews. I am very happy with my unit and this price is also the best I have seen on this great Snoy IC recorder, it is truly one super tool.

I’ve owned this digital recorder for about a month and I am impressed. I did not expect the built in mic to be this good. Prior to purchase, I thought I would need an external mic to make good quality recordings of conversations. The built in mic produces respectable recordings even when the recorder is concealed. I was please to discover that the recorder did not require any special computer drivers. I attached the recorder to my computer with the supplied USB cable and my computer detected it with no problem. When connected to my computer it functions like a USB storage drive. The included software is somewhat useful but is not really needed. I think that this may be the best digital voice recorder available at the price point of about $60. For my needs, I will never need a recorder better than this one.

The main reason for choosing this Sony recorder was that you could download the recordings to my computer. I would recommend this recorder. It's very user friendly. The only negative thing I would say is that if you are recording a lecture, you need to be sitting close to the person lecturing.

I bought this expecting to not get what I paid for. Boy, was I surprised. This thing is great. I haven't used it a whole lot for anything important but I have tested it's features and find them to be better than most other products of the same type. I highly recomend this product to anyone in need of such an item. The software that comes with it is a little hard to get use to but it does work just fine. I now wish I had the voice to text software as well but it can wait (at least until the prices come down a little). Buy it, you will like it. If not then you are way too fussy.

The club needed help on takeing notes so i got this recorder,we meet in the back of a restuarant and it'll pick up the group conversations excellant!One of the post suggested tilting it upright and that works too.The noise reduction does cut back on background noise,and the sound organizer really helps define the voices!Added note if someone says something and a name not mentioned may want to do notes for that situation.It meets overall requirements,thanks Sony for a great product!

Picked up good sound quality from a great distance. My husband is in a rhythm band so I recorded from a distance in a hall that did not have a good sound system. We were surprised to hear how CLEAR it picked up, from a far distance, the distinct sounds of each musician's contribution to the rhythm. We are very pleased with the unit. Nice and compact... it also has the nice feature of 'eliminating' close sounds like when you move the recorder on your lap.. don't know how else to explain that part. All in all, for the price, go for it. :o)
