The Buffalo Technology 2TB DriveStation is a one-stop backup solution. It is compatible with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, which lets you handle data intensive operations like image editing and video editing on the fly, right from the external hard disk. A major upgrade to the 2.0 version, the USB 3.0 delivers incredible data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps. The pre-formatted 2TB external hard drive works right out of the box without additional drivers. It bundles a backup utility that lets you archive data from one or more computers using just one drive. Further, the Buffalo hard drive integrates foolproof 256-bit AES Full Disk Encryption to keep your data from falling into the wrong hands. It lends itself to be positioned vertically or horizontally to suit your space constraints. Also, you can use the USB 3.0 hard drive with desktops, laptops, gaming consoles, media centers and more.

Installing there software, removed the computer, from seeing any CD/DVD, optical drives, and there tec service, said, sorry, we cant help, that I has already done, what they would suggest.
Now I have a no way, to even reinstall, the OS, with NO optical drive being seen.
Buffalo, lol, NEVER AGAIN.
Someone, tell me you would think different, if it were you.

This is my second Buffalo drive and the mileage from my first prompted me to buy a second one. Performance in Windows and Linux is excellent.

Probably a freak occurence, but wouldn't power up at all, just a very expensive paper weight. Got my money back and bought another brand from another store.
