I've had this TV for like 5 months now and I have not had any problems with it. I am very satisfied with it and I would recommend it to anyone. The sound isn't the best for regular TV but it works fine with my PS3 through an HDMI cable. DON'T THINK TWICE! IT'S AN AWESOME TV!!!

I love my 46' TV. I bought it a few months ago, no problems so far. I hooked up my cable box, blue-ray player, XBOX.. and pretty I will hook up a Google TV device. I would definitely buy another TCL TV!!! too bad they don't make bigger than 46'! :(

TERRIBLE audio-video syncing.

The TV looks nice enough but the audio lag is terrible. Even after syncing up the audio in a Guitar Hero/Rock Band game it is unplayable, the game just cannot compensate enough for the lag. The TV picture will shut off for split-seconds on the Component output, works ok on HDMI but lag still just as bad. The splash screen when the TV turns on is bright white and hurts the eyes when you turn it on in the middle of the night. Poor Harmony remote integration.

I definitely do not regret this purchase. The only thing I would like different is being able to use 2 inputs at the same time as a split screen, but that is only because I have my computer also wired in. Picture is awesome, sound @ 1/4 of the way = my old tv when maxed out. Looks awesome, and the rotational feature allows me to turn the tv to other areas of the room if necessary. I lub it.

Lost sound after 30 days

We bought this TV online around mid-July and when we brought it home, it was great. We loved the picture, its was super slim so didn't take up a lot of room. Then all of a sudden every so often it would make this buzzing, feedback sound, almost like the radio makes when your cell phone gets too close. It would only do it 2-3 times a day. Then all of the sudden while watching a show, the sound just stopped. I turned it off and on, I unplugged and even the next day the same thing. Looks like we are needing to return it this weekend...

This TV is an outstanding bargain for the price. It says it is 12o hz but that is only in the refresh rate standard. However with a little tweaking it is fixable. also, you will have to play with the green red contrast. The greens are a little top heavy. Let me say this, it is Samsung parts, and samsung quality. If your like me who wants the best I can afford and the better quality for that price, this is it. I have owned and own several hdtvs, and in this time, this is the most bang for your buck.

Excellent picture no matter what the input. Awesome for my PC. I do not know why anyone would say anything about the sound, it is crisp and clear. Where else can you get a 46" LED-LCD 120Hz TV for this price. Oh and 2 YEAR WARRANTY can't get that even with a Panasonic. Look and feels like a $1200 Samsung.

There is a reason this tv sells out so fast, it is an amazing tv. One of the best pictures I have seen on a set. Tons of hookups in the back including a dedicated VGA pc and 5 HDMIs it holds everything easy. The sound is very good for a low priced tv and was very happy with it. I did add a 2.1 just so I can get some extra highs and a boom with a subwoofer. I am very glad I read the reviews on here and bit the bullet on this one. I couldn't be more satisfied.

This television does have an excellent picture for an LED with a price tag of less than $600. After calibrating best I could by eye, the TV had excellent contrast, it was sharp, clear and the colors were good, but not great (compared to my Samsung Plasma which had excellent color). However, the screen did suffer from bleeding around the edges. This was usually only noticed during very dark scenes and not a deal breaker, even though it was more than I expected to see.
The sound that came from the TV was about what could be expected. It was crisp enough for those who aren't used to stereo or surround sound through a home theater. The back panel of the TV provided easy access to the HDMI through the side of the TV which is a major plus for those who plan on wall mounting. The features of the TV are lacking, but I didn't expect all the bells and whistles.
However, after using the TV for 2 days the screen would flicker when turned on. At first I watched it to see if it would stop on its own within a few seconds. It did not. So I turned the TV off and then turned it on again and it worked fine. However, this concerned me a lot because this isn't something that should occur. I checked all of my cables and wiring and everything was fine. I hoped it was an isolated incident. It wasn't.
The next day I powered up the TV, the same constant flickering occurred. I switched to different devices through the HDMI, from my cable box, to the DVD player and to the PS3. The source of the flickering was coming from the panel itself. I kept the TV through the week as I was unable to return it until the following weekend. Flickering upon startup happened more frequently as the week went on. Each time I would turn the TV off then back on and the picture was fine.
I did return the TV after 1 week of use. I feared that one day I would turn it on and it would be dead. It is likely that I received a lemon, based on the high reviews that everyone else has given this TV. I always stick to known brands for high ticket items, and for once purchased an item out of my comfort zone. Sorry to say I came away disappointed.

this tv is excellent i was really skeptical for a couple days about ordering it. i didnt know the brand but i did a bunch of research and this company tcl is a big deal in china and they are actually currently producing some of the highest tech tvs out there. the warrentys great there are so many ports and they are all conveniently placed even after i put it up on the wall and theres like half an inch bw wall and tv. if your looking for the best quality to bargain 46inch ish tv this is the one.

I can't tell you how many months I spent searching for a TV, both in the stores and online. I was determined that I wouldn't purchase one until I found EXACTLY what I was looking for: HDTV--LED, at least 42 in., 1080i, 120hz, and at a price that I couldn't pass up. I expected it to be at least another yr. before I found what I wanted---after the prices decreased. But when I came across this one and read the views, my curiosity was peaked. I read EVERY SINGLE REVIEW, the good and the bad. I was impressed. No other TV that I had researched on ANY site had such a high percentage of glowing reviews, and no other TV with similar traits was priced as low as this one. I decided to bite the bullet and order it. It was delivered to the store site within 6 days. I must say, this TV is all the other reviewers have said, and it has all the characteristics that I hoped for and then some. I'm blown away by the number of HDMI inputs, not to mention the USB port. And the fact that it is 46 inches when I was thinking I wouldn't be able to afford anything larger than a 42 inch is an awesome bonus. The 2 yr. warranty is quite nice too!
I have lots of old VHS tapes, which I like to watch over and over again. Many of them are more than 15 yrs. old, but this TV makes them look better than they did on any previous TV I've played them on. I am still amazed by that! I expected the picture quality of such old, well-played tapes to be dull and a bit blurry; but they're not. And the streaming programs that I watch via my ROKU (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Crackle, etc.) are amazing.
Many reviewers talked about the low quality sound; but for me, it's just fine. I usually have the volume between 26 and 30; any louder and I wouldn't be able to stay in the same room! I haven't tried adjusting the bass or anything. I haven't had a need for surround-sound so far since I'm more of a documentary buff than a movie or sports buff. One day, though I plan to hook up the TV to my speaker system just to see what it's like.
I noticed that right after I purchased mine, there was a notice "Not Available Online," and it still says that. It makes me wonder if we were used as their source for getting the word out about TCL TVs and now intend to sell them at the suggested retail price. If that's the case, then that gives me one more reason for being happy that I purchased mine when I did! I don't think anyone will regret purchasing this TV.

Good for HDTV Not so for Monitor

I purchased this TV with the primary use as a computer workstation monitor (3D graphics, games). Although the screen is fairly bright and sharp, it's not much better than my three year old 42" Westinghouse LCD (60hz). First of all, this TV has no game/PC 1080p throughput, so the 60hz internal processing slows the input response down. This results in a sluggish mouse, due to input lag. The 120Hz is not a screen refresh rate, as it would be in an actual PC monitor. It's a 60Hz refresh with 60Hz for "internal signal processing." What is irritating, is that the PC connection port only supports 720P resolution. My “old” and cheap Westinghouse supports 1080P on all HDMI, as well as the PC “D” connector! The lack of 1080P on the PC side simply illustrates the cheap electronics of this TV.
The LED / LCD screen is excellent, the supporting electronic circuitry is not so, and is cheap! I may return this HDTV back to Walmart for this reason. It’s pretty bad, when a four year old “cheap” 42” Westinghouse HDTV has only a marginally inferior display, but has much faster input response.
If you plan on using an HDTV for 1080P computer gaming, or work, pass on this one, and take a chance on a 60Hz model, or at least one with a PC pass-through option.

What the heck is a TCL? Was my first thought in looking at this LED. But the price, the sweet, sweet, low Walmart price led me to take the plunge. I have a Samsung 46" LCD and I have to say this TCL LED blows it away. The picture is crisp, bright, and all you could ask for with a LED at this price. The only issue as with most LEDs or Plasmas these days is the sound quality. But we don't buy these super slim ultra slick LEDs for their sound quality, do we? At $599, this is a fantastic value. You can't go wrong, plus with the money saved you can pick a banging sound system.

Like many of the other reviews I've read, I too was a bit skeptical about buying a Flat Panel from a virtually unknown company. I wanted to go with the newer LED technology and in the 46" size range but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Walmart had this one on sale (on line) so I figured I would give it a try and just return it if it was a disappointment. Well, we are two weeks into owning it now and I am not the least bit disappointed. Easy set up and a beautiful picture!! The sound quality isn't spectacular but I didn't expect it to be. I purchased a Polk Soundbar at the same time for watching movies, etc. and it's great. I use the TV speakers for watching regular programming.
This unit doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles which is fine because you don't necessarily need them, and you would have to pay quite a bit more to get them in a 46" LED. Everything you need is here for great viewing. The only thing I and some others have noticed is that when there is anything green in the picture, it's really GREEN!! You will have to play around with a couple of settings so the green isn't overwhelming but it can be done.
If this one turns out to be reliable, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Keep an eye out for them to be on sale because I'm sure that as soon as this brand name starts to catch on, they won't be relatively inexpensive for long!

I purchased this TV about a month ago and it has worked fine. I cannot attest to sound quality since I have it hooked up to a surround sound home theater. It worked fine with our X-box Kinect, pictuer is good w/o much adjusting needed (if any). No complaints, and the price was great too!
