I've read many of the reviews here and I guess I'm somewhat unique. I really liked this TV when I got it and right up until it died. Sound quality is not great but I expected that from such a slim package. I thought the picture was great.
Then it died and now I am dealing with Westinghouse customer service. In a nutshell it is almost non existent. It started out nice, I contacted them, they sent me return information and even paid to ship it back. That is where their customer service ends. I have heard nothing from them unless I initiated the contact. They've had it for going on six weeks. The status is "waiting for stock availability from External order source." That is ridiculous!
I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt to people and companies. After all unexpected things do happen but to take six weeks and counting to replace a broken TV is nuts! I would not recommend buying this TV for any amount of money.

The T.V. is sharp,, Has neat Features,, However, It really lacks low end audio.. We compensated by running a surround sound into it and now it's GREAT... If you don't want to pay for a surround,, then at least buy one of those " Bass Bars " to make up for the tinny treble....
P.S. this T.V. is So thin, and runs on VERY LITTLE electricity,,,,, It's NEAT !!!

People said the sound system with the internal speakers would not be good but for a smaller apartment, they are more than enough. I probably will purchase a sound system at some point but it's not mandatory to get things started for me. Also, I'm still learning all the features so I couldn't rate it as excellent. The HD picture quality is unbelievable. Great value for the price.

Westinghouse is a trusted brand name, at least in my home. I have had Westinghouse Flat Panel Monitors for the last 6 years and never had a single problem.If you are exclusively looking for great FullHD Video output from Bluray content then this is a set to consider. Video is beautiful for a set at this price. This set is a great and affordable compliment to your audio theater system.If you are looking for great built in audio as a primary feature in your new set then this is not a set to consider.If you are looking for extra software features and connectivity, such as Netflix or built in WiFi (or even a built in Ethernet connection) as a primary features in your new set then this is not a set to consider.

Poor Packaging

Well my review is short. I ordered this TV and when Fedex delivered it I saw immediately that there was the possibility of a problem. Sure enough there was. This TV came in a very light box with almost NO styrofoam or bubble wrap and it had a pretty big gash in the box. The delivery guy pointed it out to me but said that they felt inside and found nothing wrong. But when i opened the box there was a golf ball size hole in the screen. Returned it to Walmart nearby and with no hassle i picked up a different brand for the same price. But I am really amazed that even one of these TV's is delivered without damage. Toothpaste comes in a box that is about the same thickness as this TV was packaged in.

I bought this TV because of price and size. It was replacing a 32" Sanyo HD 720p/60hz, 4 yrs old that still worked just fine. I read every review on here and the ones claiming the simple time/clock changes every time set powers on are correct. If this simple feature will not work what else will go wrong? HD picture on sports and "main" channels is okay. Problem is on other cable channels the picture is not HD quality as good as my old Sanyo which is hard to understand. Sound is not an issue for me as I have a stereo system hooked up to set. Only had it 5 days and I am contemplating returning to Walmart frankly because HD quality on "all" channels is lacking.

The blacks are not deep enough and there is not much you can do the picture. The most annoying part is the fact that it does not allow you to turn on or off the 120hz option. It's always on and it's barely noticeable. If you are the type that does not care for the small the stuff then buy this TV, but if you are a details type then this is not the TV for you. Got the TV on 4/13/2012 and am returning it for a 47inch Vizio 1080p LCD 120hz on 4/14/2012.

The picture was good. But the menu is horrible... it has like four options on it. The sound... oh my God worst I have ever heard. Attempted to buy a sound bar... but that didn't even help enough. Returned it for a 51" Samsung. More expensive? Yes. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY! Wish I never would have even bought this piece of junk! We returned it two days after we got it in the house. Samsung has amazing picture... amazing sound... amazing everything.
The price is appealing... but do yourself a favor and go with a more reputable brand!!!!!!

I looked at a lot of TVs for a few months before I bought the Westinghouse. I am very happy with the set. The set up was easy and it has a great picture. The sound is so-so, but I had planned on a sound bar in the future anyway. For $500 and change, how can you go wrong? Walmart.com was easy to deal with. This is the second TV I've purchased from Walmart.com. Highly recommend the website.

I've been wanting a flat screen TV for years but couldn't justify the cost especially when my old tube tv was working just fine. As the picture tube began to degrade on my old TV, I received a sale notification through email regarding a Westinghouse 46" LED. An associate who is always grabbing the most up to date models but also very frugal recommended this TV. I've been so pleased. The TV's sound is a little thin but with a surround sound system or a sound bar this product shines on all levels.

Sound was poor from the start, so had to buy a theater system - that helped - but at 7 months picture started having dark spots - now 10 months and the whole screen is dark - and after reading other reviews will not even bother trying to get it repaired - I will never buy another Westinghouse TV -

Practically impossible price to beat, quality?

For a total of $510 this TV was a excellent deal, my only long term concern is the quality of the set (will it last??). I have had it just over a month, so far so good. The picture is excellent and the set up was easy (use HDMI cables!) I have not even bothered to test the sound as i have all my audio+video redirected through my audio receiver (has about 4 HDMI inputs, 1 output to TV, which i use to connect my xbox and computer tower). Flat screen TV speaker systems rarely if ever have good sound quality so i don't consider this much of a negative. For a real theatrical experience you NEED a real audio system, especially a semi-decent sub woofer. A good audio system in addition to a excellent picture makes for an absolutely amazing home theater experience. I recommend but question the quality/durability. The 120Hz and LED+ultra slim aspects sold me. I work in the Electronics department at my local Walmart. Best of luck with your shopping!

Overall very nice TV. As all say sound is not very good but its expected. But still I feel sound is fine as long as you dont need theater effect. With HD & even normal the picture quality is very good. I have put an antenna from amazon ( 6 buks ) which pulls about 30-40 local channels, about 7-8 HD quality. With this as well picture quality is very good.
Only problem is lesser number of ports though sufficient for me. Only 2 HDMI, No headphone 3.5mm out, No components. Also only 4 channels can be added to favorites which is less.
Remote is not very good and kinda cheap and needs to be pointed exactly towards TV.
But for the price this is the most you get. Satisfied till now with the TV.
