I purchased my 47" Vizio TV six months ago and have been completely happy every since. Nice, sharp picture. It's like a theater in my living room! I purchased a TV stand with it, it was easy to hook the TV up to the stand and plug in all the electronics. This is my first Vizio product and it was quite a bit cheaper than other 47" flat screen TVs so I went into the store to see the picture before I purchased it. I saw several makes right next to each other and liked the Vizio picture quality, so that is what I bought. Couldn't be happier!

I got this tv last Friday and could not be happier. It is well made and was very easy to set up and operate. The picture quality is as if whatever is on the TV is right there in front of you and you can reach out and touch them. I couldn't believe the price either and it wasn't even on sale. I was able to get this TV and a dual band router all for less than $900! I have owned and have been impressed with Samsung TV's but I am quickly becoming a Vizio fan.

The M470SV was operational right out of the box. The picture needed no adjustments and the web setup was very easy. The set is surprisingly light for a 47 inch TV which only needed one person to complete the installation on a wall mount. The only con that I have is that after three Vizio TV's in the last six years, they all had power board failures after the warranty expired and the cost to repair were all over 150$. The repair money went towards new replacement. The positive thing is that all the replacement Vizios cost a lot less and are a lot better then the broken ones being replaced. Be advised, "BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY!"

I've been looking for this TV for a few years now. I originally thought that the 47" model would be a bit too large for my area, but I was wrong. It is perfect for my den and "Man Cave".
With it's crisp, rich, colors, it really enhances my viewing experience.
When I found this TV on sale at WALMART.com, I jumped on the purchase and ordered it immediately! The on-line price was $100.00 less than the in-store price which more than paid for the extended warranty, I took the 3-year extended warranty. Set-up was a breeze! I was able to go on-line with my network without any problems. I don't use all of it's capabilities but if I should desire to, the're here. I have since purchased two(2) VISIO blu-ray players one for this TV and one for my other VISIO in my wifes office.

just bought this tv a month ago and it broke down.... called vizio and they will get to it in 5 to 6 days . their customer service although friendly is terrible. You would think that a company as big as vizio could get to and fix or replace something that is only a month old quicker than that. very disappointed with tv and vizio would not recommend vizio products to anyone based on this experience.

Was concerned about the larger size screen, but this TV is sleek, and glamorous in its styling. The picture is superb and sound is fine. I AM SO PLEASED...spent months researching and talking to people... every professional building I had business with had a Vizio.. all liked them.. so lets hope it stays healthy and lives with me a long time.. have yet to use all the smart features.

I waited a long time to order a big screen t.v. This choice was a great one. We love the t.v. quality, picture, size and also the sound. With speakers facing forward we hear well. Most big screen t.v.s send the sound down or back. Only the Vizio sends it forward as it should. We couldn't be happier with this purchase and the price was a great value. It arrived well before the due date and the employee who helped us was a true professional. Will order online again and have it shipped to the store. I am saving up for my next Vizio for our bedroom.

To start off I am not a videophile. My wife and I just enjoy a good looking TV and thats what we got. The sound on this TV is more than I expected, in fact I was going to buy the sound bar and after testing out the volume on the TV I was satisfied enough to pass on it.

I would say this tv is so so... the video is great and the sound stinks. We have already returned the 1st one we purchased because the sound kept cutting out on us and when ever we paused our tv on our DVR it makes a loud "shhhhhhh" sound. (wierd i know, don't know how else to describe it) On the new tv the sound doesn't cut out any more but still makes the loud "shhhhhhhh" sound while on pause. Totally bummed!

I bought this TV originally on black Friday 2011. IT WAS DEAD RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!! I went to three Walmarts trying to exchange it but it was sold out, so finally just returned it and ordered it online. Nine days later I received the second TV. Everything seemed fine with this one. The Netflix was great, the picture was vibrant and sharp. It looked great with my Fios TV service. Its a good thing I kept the box in my garage because today this one went dead too!! Just two months later its the same issue as the first... it just wont turn on! I was reading other reviews on the TV and found this to be a common problem! Save yourself the anger, time, and frustration on this one. Just DO NOT BUY IT!

I bought a vizio t.v. just over a year ago and had problems connecting to internet last night through my apps. After contacting my dsl service provider, I figured out they were not the problem. So, I contacted Vizio and they figured out it was the television that needed to be repaired. Since I have had the tv just over a year, it would not be covered under warranty. Vizio said the work would cost 301.00 to repair the t.v. I paid almost 1600.00 when I bought my tv brand new. Save yourself the money and trouble, and buy a tv from respected brand that has been around for a while. You may read other reviews where people say they love their vizio. Unfortunately, they probably have just purchased their televisions and have not had them the time I have.
