I purchased my 2nd Vizio after having good success with my first one--a 32" model. So I went to the 37" LCD E371VL. After 14 months of working great, it has suddenly died and wont work. All you get is the VIZIO on the screen. To power it off, you have to unplug it. Vizio tech support will fix it for $210, and it will take 2-3 weeks. After seeing how much of a problem this has been for so many others, why would I spend the money to probably just have it happen again soon. It is pretty obvious that this model has a defect and needs to be recalled by Vizio. Too many people with the same issue to just call it an isolated problem. To VIZIO: DO THE RIGHT THING AND RECALL THIS DEFECTIVE TV AND REFUND YOUR VICTIMS!!!

I had better sound from my 12 yr old SHARP and PANASONIC tvs
It sounds tinny with hardly any bass.
I had to purchase the VIZIO surround sound for me to
be satisfied with quality sound I was use to.
I'm trying to buy AMERICAN MADE products but I want the same quality as foriegn products!!

It was a nice TV for the first 13 months. Bought it in Dec. 2011. It came with a 1 year warranty. In Jan. 2013, ONE month after it went out of warranty, it quit working. We trouble shot it over the phone with tech support. The result is that it will cost us around $210 to fix. I would NOT buy one of these again.

I bought this TV on 1/14/12 and it was warrantied for 1 year by Visio. On 1/24/13 (10 days after the warranty expired), the TV quit working completely. Walmart told me that their warranty covered the first 90 days and then Visio's warranty took over for one year. I was told by an associate at Visio that this was correct and emailed them a copy of my receipt. When I did not hear back from Visio in a timely manner, I called again. This time their associate said that the warranty was for 1 year and that my TV would not be fixed unless I paid $85.00. I loved this TV right up to the minute it quit working. Now I am completely appalled that Visio can't build a TV that will last more than 1 year and ten days and then not do anything for the customer. Don't buy this TV unless you want to pay for a new TV every year.

The picture is unreal on this TV. I have a Toshiba 50" and a Vizio 47" and this TV has the best picture of the three. The only "complaint" I have is that it only has 2 HDMI inputs and one is on the side. Its not that big of deal at all, but its the only thing I can think of to complain about.

Very pleased with this T.V. Very good for the money. It offered the front 10 watt speakers that other higher priced T.V.'s did not. Have had no problems. Easy to set up. Vizio has a very good customer service. Are ready and willing to answer and resolve any questions or problem.

Purchase the tv over the phone a few days after black friday due to the site to store order was cancelled. The tv arrived 3 days after order was placed. TV was easy to hookup , just plugged in the hdmi cable into the cable box and into the tv. Ran the menu set up from the vizio remote to set the tv up. About 20 minutes later and making some adjustments to the color and ect. we were able to enjoy the tv. The wife was able to setup the Direct tv remote to operate the vizio with aid of the Direct tv user manual. We are enjoying a clear picture and sound quality when watching tv. It's great for watching NFL on Sunday. can't wait for nascar to start. I did purchase the 3 year warranty for added protection. Overall very happy with the tv for the price.
