For the price, there's not much out there that compares to this sofa/bed. If I'd tried to put a bed in my current bedroom I wouldn't have had room for anything else. The Baja sofa turned out to be an excellent option. Takes a while to set up (have a friend handy) but after the huffing and puffing is over you'll have a very comfortable sofa for sitting and quite nice bed for sleeping. I sleep solo, so I don't have the issue that some have had about rolling toward the middle.
I would buy another one just like it if I had to, without any hesitation.

It looks just as good as it does in the picture. They said it fits three people comfortably i had five people on it. its nice and comfy. Soft to the touch. It was a little hard to open and close, but it may just need to be broken in.

1. Super comfortable, even for heavy folks and elderly, with no extra padding needed. Cannot feel springs, springs give firm but not real hard support - no pressure points.
2. No annoying crease / valley.
3. Can be put together by a single person.
4. Rails and supports sturdy medium heavy metal, not aluminum. Wooden feet, not plastic.
5. Sheets - buy deep pocket.
6. Reasonably easy fold up/down once you get the hang of the mechanism - if you are fighting with it, you are doing it wrong. Laughably easy once you figure it out.
(6.5 - surprising long, will easily accommodate tall folks six ft five in. without bumping against the head/foot boards.)
7. Minus a quarter star for weight of package, one person will have some difficulty hefting it into doorway, and assembly was easy, but pay attention to the directions for attaching the hinges. Also included in the quarter star demote is that the couch is difficult to get the back into a straight upright position rather than an angled position, but is actually quite comfortable in the angled position.
Overall, a very descent quality, sturdy/substantial couch/bed. Cover is quite nice, comes with two matching throw pillows that are somewhat cheap but you can always buy higher quality inserts yourself. Would be a six star product if it had legs that were high enough to accommodate a bit of space for under couch storage. A bargain for the price, IMO.

This was delivered days before the expected delivery date. Which is fantastic! It was very easy to put together and for the most part I didn't need a second person. All the parts were in the box which is a plus. It looks nice in my NYC studio apartment. It has three positions - couch mode, lounging couch mode and bed mode. Because I use this as a full time bed and couch, it could use a better cushion but that does not mean that it isn't comfortable. It fits two adults comfortably! Love it!

The express shipping arrived as promised, but the product did not meet my expectations. The attachments that cause the couch to be converted to a bed seemed to be defective and caused damage to the sides of the couch. I could never get the couch to convert to a bed as the screws kept popping out even though I tightened them as tight as I could. Finally, I returned the item to Walmart, as I could never get it to work as it should.

I bought this sofa for my son he is at home only on school break , and after one month
this sofa was destroyed. He is 19 years old. Not comfortable at all. Now I need to look for another mattress for it. To expensive, not worth it. Would not recommend to anyone.

I was shopping around for a basic futon and found this for around the same price. Its a bit nicer than a "basic" futon, but just as economical and easy. Assembly was very simple and quick, and its far more comfortable than I would have expected. There was a minor problem with a\one component and the manufacturer sent a replacement right out.

I purchased this convert-a-couch because I needed something inexpensive to sit on and yet have a place for guest to sleep when they visit. This product serves both purposes. The couch looks great and while it is not as comfortable as my more expensive couches, I can sit on it for an extended period of time and I still find it comfortable. I have slept on the couch twice and both nights I got a good night's rest. I would recommend the couch for occasional sitting/sleeping. Of course, I have only owned it for a few days, let's see how I feel in a few months.

It was a little tricky to put together because the spring components were not positioned correctly, but once we got that figured out it was pretty easy. Looks great, is very comfortable, and fits into a small space. I would definitely buy this again.

I order the product from walmart and when it arrived, it arrived on a date prior to the date I requested it to be deliver and no signature was required for the product so it was left in front of my studio for almost a full day. When I open the product to assemble it; the pieces were not extending as they should so when I finished assembling it I was not able to convert it into a bed. I had to contact walmart and the manufacture and had to wait about a week before the piece was mailed to me.
When I finally finished assembling it two nights ago and began to sleep on it; it was the uncomfortable. The sofa bed would sink in the middle into the bars and has caused back pain for me the last two night. The first night I was unable to sleep at all and the second night I was so tired from work when I got home I just fell asleep but woke up both mornings with back pain.

This sofa bed is AWESOME for the price! We bought it because my husband's father is coming to visit and staying with us for a month. My husband put the couch together in about 2 hours by himself, and now it is in our office. We bought the black baja convert a couch. It looks great and is very comfy to lounge on. This is not our primary sofa, and it is a bit shallow for the whole family to sit on and watch TV in the evenings. BUT it is great in a guest room or office for guests who need to stay overnight. We probably will buy a mattress topper to put on and use only when a guest is sleeping on it, because yes you do have a slight dip into the middle when it is laid out as a bed---and we want our guests to be comfortable. However, CANNOT beat the price...under $300 for a decent sofa bed and everyday sofa for the office? Unheard of. We looked at lots of sofa beds in furniture stores and would have to pay at least $600 for the cheapest ones there. So glad we took a chance on this sofa bed online.

It looked great in the picture. Arrived on time, I was able to assemble in 30 minutes or so. However, it isnt comfortable to sit on this. it is much smaller than what it appears in the picture. I should have returned it.

I live in a small apartment and needed something versatile and comfortable for everyday use, mostly as a sofa. I have had the futon for about a year and a half now and most of the springs have broken, leaving this futon really uncomfortable. If this were in an area that wasn't used often such as an office or in a guest room, it would be a total bang for the buck but I definitely don't recommend this for average, everyday use. I would have given it less stars, but if used in a different way this futon could be great.

I had this for less than two years. The cover that goes over it that makes it cushiony does not stay in place. Thus, it never really truly looks like the picture. The springs in mine broke in a large spot, so I had to put a pillow there just to sit comfortably. I am only one 23 year old using the couch with very few guests, so it did not even take a beating
