I purchased this in a hurry and I have so much regret. There is no light so room lighting must be pretty good or you won't see anything. But what you can see is not crisp like you would expect. I've had cheapo camcorders that gave better video. This is going back tomorrow but I can't replace the precious moments of this years Christmas

I am really impressed with the picture and quality of this camcorder.I watched my little girls play from the back of the room and you would think she was right therein front of me.I am very Happy with this product.And with Wal Mart's 2 yr warranty I have piece of mind. Thank you, JVC..& Wal Mart.

This camcorder is small, easy to setup and use; takes great video, HOWEVER, sound replay volume is extremely poor & low. The biggest issue is the type of file that is produced. These files (MTS) is extremely large & must be converted to be watched or shared with others. What a hassle! Take the video, put it on a PC and then full stop! Don't know what to recommend! Sony has the same problem!

Short battery life

Camera works great. Crisp video. Great zoom. I was surprised that my cheap laptop met the requirements for the software which is easy to use.
CONS: The battery life is unbelievably short. I'll have to buy the longer lasting battery.
