Does not play 3d blueray

I tried too play a 3d bluray out of the box it froze up and the screen went garbled. I then played a bluray it jerked. I then played a dvd it played ok. I updated the player via internet with the exact same results afterwords. The question is is it a fluke? I get back to you on that. At this time I do not recmmend this product.

I received my dvd player as a birthday gift from my wife. My son in law installed it for us. after supper we selected our dvd we wanted to watch and when we tried to put it into the player the disk drawer would not open. This particular model has a manual eject mechanism on the underside of the player, that didn't work either. had to box it back up and return it to the local Wal-Mart. of course they did not have one in stock so I got a refund and bought a Sony dvd player which I am totally satisfied with.

Extremely poor quality

I have to say this is probably the worst electronics product I have ever owned and I've had a few lemons. The player is extremely slow to load anything, whether it's a Blu-ray or Netflix. It freezes up almost every time I use it and I have to unplug it once or twice to get it to work again. When I try to view live features from discs it tells me there is no internet connection even after the player successfully detects one! I can't believe how poor the quality of this machine is. I will NEVER buy another product from Vizio and I will be sure to let everyone else I know how poor their products are,

I used this player maybe five times before it broke. Now it doesn't read DVDs or even plays them. It is also very loud and annoying. The remote never seemed to work either, even with new batteries.

This is a hunk of junk!

I had this player for a week, and it plays DVDs and regular Blu-rays just fine. I bought this because I wanted a 3D Blu-ray player for my television, and this does not perform well at that at all! When there is a scene that has a lot of 3D effects, this player skips the exact same as when you insert a scratched disk, and my disks are brand new. Ultumately, I returned this player and bought a Sony player to take its place, and my new Sony player works perfectly. Save yourself some time, look over this cheaper player and spend a few bucks on a nicer one, it will be well worth it in the end.

Blue Ray 3d DVD had great picture but, kept stopping and starting. Sound too kept stopping and starting. I finally gave up but, couldn't get the tray to open and release the DVD. Power light would not go out but nothing would operate.
Unplugged and disconnected, plugged back in and got DVD to release. Didn't want to take anymore chances so, returned player.

played our first blue-ray disk last week, act of valor, and it rocked my home theater system. can't believe I waited this long to buy a blue-ray player. this vizio player blew away what I was expecting. picture and sound are extremely better than than standard dvd.

Worked fine for about a month, then every disc new or used freezes at some point with vertical lines throughout the screen. Then you cannot do anything with the remote, can't stop, can't fast forward, can't go back. The only fix is to walk up and manually power off the device. Then try to find your place in the movie where it froze. Usually have to do a restart 3 times during a 2 hour movie. Don't buy this product, spend the extra money and get a quality player if you really want to enjoy your blu ray experience.

Don't waste your money! We bought this player and within a month, it didn't work properly. We have had less than a year and it's pretty much trash now. The door keeps coming open, the video goes in and out, you have to hit the power button twice to get it to turn on and hit the open door button numerous times to get it to open as well. While yes, the price seems good and it is a reputable brand, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I don't have high expectations from a "value" product but, is it too much to ask that the product work...and work properly? I think not!

After 6 months it quit working

We were happy with this divice.
The only reason why I bought it was
1) the name brand.
2) Wi-Fi
3) Netflix movies in the living room.
4) other apps like pandora, youtube, ect...
everything was working fine, until one day I wanted to watch netflix and all it had was a dark screen with an error message. unable to load apps or something, can't remember.
Now I need to contact Vizio, the website says it has a one year warranty, but I've lost the receipt but it was manufactured in September 2011, and we are on July 2012 so it should have 2 more months left of factory warranty. I bought in february 2012. we have a nintendo wii that is 4 years old and it still works, we have a Wi-Fi bluray player that is 3 years old and it still works but it doesn't play netflix, my router is 4 years old and it still works. I will contact Vizio tomorrow and try to get factory warranty work. Good value, but it didn't meet my expectations because it no longer works after 6 months

The DVD player exceeds expectations however the remote for this unit is the worst I have ever seen. The remote is difficult at best to operate with the buttons so close together that you will often press the wrong one. You would do better with a programmable universal remote, it would be much more functional.

I can honestly say I have never turned on this device and had it work properly. It freezes every time I use it, either when changing functions, such as going from Netflix to the main menu, or when powering down. Both of these require you to unplug and plug back in. On occasion it even freezes when you first turn it on. The disc tray will no longer slide in or out, and there is a DVD stuck in it. I have never been so dissatisfied with a product in my life, and I can honestly say I will never purchase another product from vizio again.

Works good, extremely small (great), easy to hook-up. Remote is fair (small buttons, limited range - but works). 3D works as designed. Using highspeed HDMI inexpensive ($6) cable bought @ walmart.com

I bought this player and had issues out of the box.... the interface is really slow and it goes into fits where it wont recognize a dvd and keep ejecting it, yet the dvd works fine in my other players. I brought it back and got a second one and it too does the same thing. called vizio and they recommended running the firmware updates... it just made it worse, now it runs even slower. Went to watch a movie last night and now it wont even start up... Save your money and sanity and dont buy this player.
