First off....To get the "Walmart" price of $109...You must purchase this through their website...the order will then be submitted to your chosen local store where you will be able to pick it up if they have it in stock within a day.

If you want a cheap camera with decent video quality then this is probably the purchase for you. It's very durable and feels good in your hand.
I have taken three videos so far and the quality is about right for the price. This HD is not the same quality as a blu ray movie you might watch. Unfortunately you have to buy a professional grade memory card (see related product below) to get a decent amount of HD video storage. the 16 GB card I bought only holds about 4 hours of HD video but less than that if you use 1080p hd video display for every video captured. You will also want to buy a professional grade memory card to keep your camera from going blurry with fast movement.
Once again, for the price of $109, this camera is worth it for the casual user that will pull it out for Holidays and the occasional vacation. If you want top quality, you should spend the extra money and get a regular handheld video camcorder.

This is so lightweight it fits right in your pocket. I recently flew to Michigan, and it was only my second time ever flying and I took video out of the window and it turned out great. I also took some video in a moving car. You just have to remember that it is picking up all the sounds too. It is very easy to delete videos. I haven't used the underwater feature yet except to stick down in a pool but the video was still very good. The main thing is to keep your hand steady because it is so lightweight and small you forget you have it on. The instructions were very easy to follow. You just turn it on and push the button, it is almost foolproof.

Had to pick it up at another store an hour away because it apparently couldnt be shipped to my local store. When I got it, it was obviously used, it has photos of someone else's kid on it, pretty creepy

I actually had been shopping for a throwaway, cheap video so I wouldn't need to carry my Sony handycam. After all the searching and reading reviews it was a simple self made video review by a kid that sold me in this camera. Very happy. If you get a chance check the kids video site, he reviews a lot of things BETTER than the pros. He gives a full review using the camera, including underwater that was a better sales pitch than any other review I had read, seen or listened to by pros, techs and salesmen.

Bought it to record weekly chorus rehearsals instead of camera 4 times as expensive that only records HD at 8GB per hour of video, vs. almost 2 hours on 4GB which uploads to Youtube much faster.

I bought this camera for a trip to Cancun in late March. I knew I would be taking both regular pictures and underwater video. The camera is just OK AT 5 MEGA PIXELS but the video is AWESOME! It's HD and beautiful. I took videos while swimming in the salt water and it performed awesome! Snorkeling videos? AWESOME! Just make sure you rinse the camera off in tap water after.The video is amazing! Totally water proof at the specifed depths!

Handy, but quality isn't to smart-phone standards

First, this product was already opened and used once when I received it. There was a video of the inside of a Walmart store on the camera that was 26 months old. That aside, it operated fine.
There is not flash or LED. The battery life seems good (I never ran it down. I ended up returning it.) A 8Gb memory card showed 2 hours of space at 720p setting. The camera has a quality feel to it. Light is the key to quality of the pictures; the more light, the better the quality. When recording inside at dusk, the sky out my windows was purple. Shake control was good. When panning you have to do it very slow to look 'good,' like most cameras.
You can't beat this device for the size and unobtrusiveness for impromptu pictures. Power on, click, recording. I'd keep it if it was $50.

Decent underwater camera that offers great value

Picked up this camera from Walmart for $80 and read all the various reviews, comments on this little unit. Our main use was to take this camera on an all day swim event which means that it would spend the majority of the time in the water at a snorkeling level. A couple of observations
1) Did not leak as others may have had that issue. The door seals are pretty basic and they are essentially just raised rubber seals that rely on latch pressure to keep the water out. Just make sure that the seal looks good when you close the door
2) Underwater video was good. Quite clear video and the zoom was decent. Obviously picking up sound underwater is difficult but I'm happy with the video quality
3) Low light photos are not recommended. As there is no flash on the camera, you are pretty much stuck if you want this for taking regular photos indoors or in low light situations. Not really worth trying however I was able to use my cell phone's LED to lighten up an area to take a photo with this camera
4) Value for the money paid. There are tons of great underwater cameras at the $200+ range that will do more than you can get with this camera. However at this price, you would be hard pressed to find a more capable camera for underwater video

I've been a fan of the Zx3 especially for concerts. I have not tried the Zx5 in a concert yet, but i'm confident it will hold up. Underwater is always a Plus and Picture quality is awesome in lots of lighting. the only thing i wish the Zx5 would have is separate battery and a light/flash like cellphones have.

Item was shipped promptly. Everything that was supposed to be in the box was. It's smaller than I expected, but that's not bad. It was a gift for my husband, who was thrilled, and he was able to figure out how to use it without reading the directions. I would recomend this to anyone who is just starting out.

Bought the flip cam for vacation...For approx $80 I didn’t expect this camera to do as well as it did.. The design fees like a cell phone..I put it in my pocket and carried it everywear. wouldn't do that with a reg. still cam or video cam..having the option of video/picts on such a small device was perfect! ... Very easy to use – push one button to switch between video & still photos. One button to start/stop video record. The battery never ran low...The screen for viewing video/photos is not real big or super sharp like you would find on a regular still camera/ smart phone etc...Don’t worry ..When I got back from my trip bought a 6ft micro HDMI cable to view video/picts on my HD TV. PICTURES: were very sharp w/great color saturation (I planed to use the flip cam for video ONLY and brought a still camera – didn’t touch the still camera the whole trip) VIDEO: I did all my filming on the standard video setting to get more video out of my card (You can film in HD) was amazed at the quality of the video on that setting. Only negative...flip camera locked up when I fist used it and was reviewing video/picts...has a reset button and that fixed the issue...never locked up my entire vacation... & it's waterproof!

Fine little camera..zoom is marginal but I expected that. Love the size..fits on tripod and I use it to capture golf and tennis swings..I like the slow motion play back ..I ordered an HDMI cable so I can use on big screen TV..Make sure you get a Micro HDMI cable to standard HDMI cable and not Mini HDMI cable to standard HDMI ..Micro is the smallest size ..I though mini was..I have had two weeks ..so far so good. I wish the screen display was a little bigger but it works..software that comes with it is good for computer transfer and some editing.

I read alot of customer reviews befor deciding on this product. I've had some trouble w/ Kodak in the past (I do not recommend their printers) but I am very pleased w/ this little video recorder. So easy to use! decent picture quality and the price was very reasonable. Overall I'm very pleased:)
