First! It's an American Tourist. It's rugged, durable, and large enough to carry what I needed. It went on an 8 day cruise and it passed with flying colors. It survived 4 airplane transfers without a scratch. Would definitely recommend this product.

Good value and easy to spot

Ordered 2 of these before a weeklong trip to Mexico. Travelling with my wife and 8 month old. Criteria I was looking for: 29"-30", spinner, easily recognizable color, durable, affordable. Meeting the last requirement was proving difficult from looking in local department stores, etc. (go price out a similar Samsonite). These worked great, and hold a ton of stuff. We still had to bring a 3rd suitcase for all the baby stuff, but still. We had these fully loaded and had to be cautious not to go over the 50 lbs. airline weight limit for standard luggage. We were able to shuffle things around to have them at 98.5 total when checking them in. These made it through the trip well, with only a little fraying in some spots on the fabric but nothing of concern. I would buy again and having the spinners definitely makes it a lot easier to get through the airports. Only thing that would have made it easier is if they sold these in the stores, at the time I purchased the only option was online.

Lots of compartments, easy unzipping, 4 wheels 'drive' and turn easily. I'm happy with this and chose it to got with my American Tourister Blue 21" spinner (carryon size).

This luggage appears to be very sturdy. However, I will not use it until vacation in May 2012 so I will find out if it is as durable as it looks when it gets tossed about at the airports.

Nice mid-range luggage

This suitcase holds a LOT of clothing. I'm a big guy who needed to pack for a four-day trip, and I had plenty of room to spare in this case. If I have any criticism of the inside of the bag, it's that the hold-down straps aren't adjustable; if you did need to fill the case, you might find their length and position inadequate.
Ample number of exterior pockets allows for storage of shoes, magazines / books, toiletries and other things you might want to quickly access.
I didn't think spinner wheels would make a difference but I was pleasantly surprised. My travel plans had me on the subway / bus terminals quite a bit, going up and down stairs and walking to a lot of gates, and the ability to simply push this bad ahead of me was a huge plus. I am 6 feet tall and this bag was the perfect height for pushing. The collapsible handle allows you to treat this bag as a standard roller, too, and would probably help a taller person push this bag.
Built tough of good, heavy fabric. The zippers are good-quality. The bag has an expansion zipper, although again, you'd have to be packing the kitchen sink to need it.
I'm very pleased and intend to purchase the 21-inch version of this bag.
