I use this bookshelf for my school books. These books weigh a ton, and so far, the shelves haven't bowed at all. It was pretty easy to put together and looks very nice overall! I'd recommend it!

The bookcase only took my husband an hour to put together each one. We decided on the mahogany colored one and it looks very nice and the color is rich. I liked the ability to choose whether to have the edging on the shelves to face up or down. I put mine up because I have a toddler. I would suggest these to anyone looking to buy an inexpensive bookcase but one that will hold up. However, the only downfall that I had was the site to store shipping. It took a week longer then first stated, although it might not be a big deal to some, I was trying to finish some spring organizing.

I purchased 2 of these shelves, in cherrywood, and loved them. So much that when we moved and I had more room, I bought 2 more! My mom and mother-in-law liked them so much from what they saw at my place that they went out and bought a couple each! Only downside is that I had to assemble all 8, and now the wife wants another one... I'm getting pretty good at putting these together.

I was a little skeptical in purchasing this item but I am glad that I did. I LOVE it!! It looks very expensive for the price. I am a woman and it took me 1 1/2 hrs to put it together. The instruction's were very simple. I read all the negative comments about this bookcase and it just lead me to believe that they may have received bad batches. Well with that being said, I will be purchasing another one to make a complete set in my library.

The shipment arrived quick, had no damages whatever, and was easy to put together. It is a very sturdy product. It looks very good and is something I feel I would like to keep long term. I plan to purchase two more in the future if they are still available. Overall an excellent value!

Assembled fairly easily but had to be handled and raised carefully because the screws were short and barely held the unit together. This was the main flaw, but you are paying very little, so not bad for the price.

It is hard to assemble, and don't expect that you can still use it once you move to another place. It is made of poor material that you can not move it at all. It will split into pieces. I would rather buy the cheapest one from ikea, since the stuff from ikea can at least last three years. Don't buy it! It is really a waste of your time and money. Now I have to move this heavy junk into my garbage can.

This item was a pain to put together and I was really distressed at how flimsy and unstable the bookshelf was. My fiance and I remarked that we're going to have to depend on the books actually helping to weigh it down and provide stability. It looks nice, but again, there is NO quality it's actually quite unstable and not at all sturdy. Would not buy again; would not recommend.

I was looking for a large bookshelf to replace two smaller ones. This was perfect for the job! The shipping was fast and it took my husband and I about two hours to put together. It is Exactly how it looks in the picture, Color and Condition. Not a scratch on it! Very sturdy and holds a ton of stuff. I have tons of books so I ordered 3 of the Cherry finish. It took a long time to put together, so (my husband) only put 1 a day together. But they are beautiful and look very nice. They are sturdy and holding all my books and other items very well. We also recently moved across the country and they survived the move with no dents, dings, or scratches; where as a cheaper, plain, particle board book shelf I had for my sons room is destroyed and must be replaced.
