We live in strange times, but this TV was my treadmill TV. When I was a kid, we had one living room TV and we ran outside. It was a huge deal when we got a second TV for the Upstairs.
Today I have a perfect TV for my treadmill. The sound and picture are perfect for the placement. I shopped aggressively and this was the best value I found.

I had read reviews that indicated that this TV had less-than-good sound quality, and that turned out to be true. The sound is comparable to a battery-powered radio. However, considering the expected life of newer TVs, the quality is certainly acceptable for the price.

great picture, poor sound

I opted for this TV for use as a PC monitor because the sound quality is lacking as a television. 60Hz is really not that great for a television, but acceptable as a monitor. It has HDMI inputs for 1080p resolution and you must use HDMI to get 1080p, therefore, this unit works very well with my video card in my PC. Remember, the higher the Hz the better the picture quality, so look for a television that offers at least 120 Hz and 1080p if you want a decent TV experience. I have yet to find an HDTV that has outstanding sound performance, so be prepared to buy a surround system when you buy any HDTV. As for this unit, it performs great for its purpose and the price beats paying for a 24 inch PC monitor that you can use ONLY as a monitor. This RCA unit has a dual purpose.

As like one of your other reviewers, I needed some tv's for my new camper...I bought three of these tv's. The picture is amazing! The built-in digital converter makes it so easy to set up in my camper. It picked up over 20 channels just sitting in my driveway.
We will be camping in two weeks. I'm looking forward to being able to watch tv in the evenings without having to squint my eyes!
I highly recommend this tv...if you can find them now! They sell out fast!

Good and Bad with the T.V. Our other is a 1080 240 Hz so hard to compare as far as picture quality, but this is decent considering price, etc. The problem which I have seen others talk about is the sound, it is very tinny and doesn't sound real. Ours also went out (the sound) after a week and we are returning it for another set. Will probably go with a Samsung like our other. Have heard other negatives regarding the R.C.A.'s, got this because we had one of the old ones for 12 years but disappointed.

I had to call my satellight dish service to help me hook it up as I needed some special hookup cables that didn't come with the set. I was assured that this was not unusual. The technition was very impressed by the picture quality, sound quality and features of the set. He said it was a very good deal. Audio speakers sound is tinny. The TV's input RCA female jacks on the back panel of the TV are located inside a molded panel that does not allow gaming headphone with double RCA tree to be used. You need to use a male/female plug extention to be able to plug the headset plug tree . The overall TV dollar value is a good buy. Picture quality good, exceptable gaming quality.

The sound is really bad on this TV. It has an earphone jack that is controlled with the main volume on the remote. I got amplified PC speakers and plugged them into the earphone jack. This TV has a standard 100 x 100 VESA mount pattern for connecting to a wall mount.
